Worst security company in Greensboro! They have telemarketers calling my business and they will not stop - even after telling them to stop calling. Asking for a manager or owner of BIT does no good. They hang up on you or refuse to let you talk to anyone in charge.

I leased some security cameras from these guys. The equipment continued to break and they wanted to charge me to fix it while it was under lease. I leased a security system from these guys for my Private School. The system was for cameras and microphones to be placed into the classrooms. They sold me the system on the basis that I could charge my parents a fee so they could remote view their children in class from any computer with web access. During the first year the system crashed....They sent someone out to fix the system. The system worked for another year then crashed again. They wanted me to pay for a hotel for their tech person to stay and then pay for the repairs. The system was under a lease...A lease that was to pay off $4500.00...I paid $335 a month for 3 years....that equals $12,060....even though parents were not paying me because the web access hadn't worked after the first year and 6 months. Then they wanted me to pay for repair...I told them I would not. Then I suggested me shipping the computer to them and they were supposed to fix it....when I received the computer tower back....it was the wrong tower....so I had to pay to ship them back the old one and then pay for shipping me back MY own tower. Once I received the tower....it was still broken. I had to pay a local computer guy to come and fix the system. After paying them $12,060 for a $4,000 system....I decided I wasn't going to pay for something where they BROKE THEIR CONTRACT DEALS.....Now they are trying to tell me that I owe them another $19,000.00!!! These guys are UNETHICAL in every practice. Their systems are totally subpar....the lease company they use is horrible to deal with and threatens to take you to court if you do not pay them. I still cannot figure out how I owe them another $19,000 on top of the $12,060 I already paid them.....on a $4,000.00 system....

If you receive a call from BIT Security, DO NOT do business with them. They would call here several times a day and would get an attitude when told the owner was not here. I would take a message and tell them I would give it to him when he came in, an hour or so later, they would call right back. There were several times that one guy got really nasty and rude with me. A few months went by and we had some things stolen from the property. This company calls back after the thefts and my boss decided to listen to what they had to say. The salesman came out and my boss decided to get the system based on the salesman telling him that everything he wanted from this system, it was capable of doing. So, the nightmare begins....we were told that we could check the cameras from our phones and we would receive alerts to our phones when the cameras detected movement and so on. The installer came out and I do have to say that he was a nice guy. There were issues with installation because he didn't have all the parts for all the cameras. Within a couple of days he had the parts and setup was complete. The installer set up the phones to receive alerts. The first night, the phones received so many alerts that the were going over data allowance and had to be shut off so the boss and our employees could sleep. The reason for the alerts was wind, rain, bugs, tree branch, headlights passing by on the highway, etc.... BIT was contacted the next morning with this issue and was asked to hold the lease because it was not working properly and they said they would and they were going to reset the sensitivity on it. After the sensitivity was reset we were not getting any alerts and they went ahead and sent in the lease papers before the system was working properly. We would call and leave messages and noone would call us back. When they did call back, all of a sudden it was not anyones department anymore. Blame was being passed off and we were not getting helped (lie and deny). There has been no accountability from anyone in this company. This has been an on going situation since March. We are on the hook for total payback of $22,000 for lease over 5 years. We have no more than a $500-$900 camera system that can purchased from retail outlets. My coworker put in a system at her home for $750. The clarity is much better than the BIT system and the company that she purchased it from has been very helpful to her on installation and learning the system and she gets alerts and can check it over her phone. Key Equipment Company (leasing company) does not care about your plight with BTI Security. All they want is their monthly payments. We are stuck.

Never accept a call and have a meeting with your staff to never accept a call from this company! I will call the cops when they stop by and will never again listen to another word they say. I would bet a lot of money that they still won't stop calling and harassing me!

I have had a BIT system for 4 years. I have nothing but glowing reviews for the company and the product. Having had cameras from a company that went out of business and not being able to get support I appreciate the fact I can always get someone on the phone to help me. I had a couple of issues early on that they quickly fixed and not a problem since.

The system worked exactly how it was supposed to. A regular customer broke in late one night and did over $2,500 worth of damage to the building and my safe but we managed to get clear video on all 4 cameras. The Surf City Police Department was thrilled at the quality of the video and was able to apprehend the suspect less than 2 days later!

The DVR is a great way for us to establish and maintain great customer service. It helps us predict the flow of day to day activities so we can better manage our employees. It has been a good tool to protect our employees as well. Great overall system.

The main thing the system has helped us with is the playback feature. If something were to happen to a child, every movement is captured. Parent/Teacher discrepancies are common but the cameras don't lie. It also ensures that teachers are following the schedules that we lay out for them. It has been a lifesaver!

Since the system is installed at a satellite office, and I am located at another site, the system is best utilized as an off-site managing tool. The DVR holds several weeks of recording which is essential when you don't have time to review footage everyday or even every week. I use this to manage my payroll at that location as well as keep an eye on my employees.

When the DVR was installed it instantly increased security and productivity by putting me in the business 24/7. With good color clear images it gives me an excellent idea of what is going on at all times and the quality of work has improved while at the same time creating a friendly work environment for all of my employees.

They have called my place of business multiple days in a row and has hung up on the receptionist, harassed the owners, and made a complete disgrace of their "company". We will never have interest in doing business with such a unprofessional and rude company. Just a heads up if they don't stop calling and you are on the do not call registry, you can report them!! Have a wonderful day :)

Won't leave a message and hangs up on me then when u call back hangs up again. Sounds very shady to me. I'm the person u gotta talk to to get to the owner. Guess I helped the owner dodge a bullet after ready these reviews. Hope no one uses them. Gonna spread the word about "Jerry's" "professionalism"

They charge $12,000 for a $1,000 system and that is being conservative. The dvr they sell goes for $50 on ebay all day long.
