"in the January death in January"

Yes, deaths in January always happen in January. Something the rest of us know but obviously not the people at the Courant.

Like I said months ago, this case would go nowhere. She was an adult, of legal drinking age and therefore responsible for herself. No furter comments are needed.

I am glad Jim was cleared of wrong doing. I didn't think he had any criminal intent, just poor judgement. I bet people will certainly think twice now if this type of situation ever happened again. I still think that a married man should not be at a bar that late at night, but that's between him and his wife.

What about her footprints in the snow? Couldn't they have tracked her that way? They COULD have found her. It is not accurate to say that she most likely wouldn't have been found in a timely manner.

This is nonsense. He should have been charged with negligence and let a jury review & decide. His broken glasses and the broken mirror in his car show there was a struggle in that car! I'm sick of prosecutors not letting a jury decide unless he/she feels that it is a slam dunk. This is a disgusting decision and I hope this gets assigned to someone else who has the guts to charge him. This must be devastating for her loved ones.
Anyone know if this decision is reversable? What we can do about this, i.e., petition, demonstration???

This story doesn't say O'Rourke is innocent - it says there wasn't enough evidence to charge him.

There is a difference.

i think your wrong here buddy the constitution clearly states INNOCENT till PROVEN Guilty.
So the common assumption is INNOCENT.
We know how you guys like to stretch the truth but that would be like me saying rowland was guilty of 27 felonies and should still be in the slammer.
We all know thats not what happened RIGHT???

A Citizens Grand jury should investigate the facts regarding the actions of Connecticut Representative O'Rourke so that the Citizens of Connecticut can be secure that the facts were truly investigated and justice is served. Furthermore, The actions of The Connecticut States Attorneys Office should also be investigated regarding this matter and others where it appears there is an exercise of abusing power in order to conceal, protect, and cover up unlawful governmental conduct. Our information demonstrates that covering up crime committed by public officials is a well entrenched practice, custom, and pattern engaged in by, among others, The Connecticut States Attorneys Office. We call this, among others, the providing of dishonest governmental services.

I wonder if you'd say the same cold-hearted thing if it were YOUR sister or daughter?
