In 2000 I rented from Joe Brannen which all was well until the A/C went out. When I received a electric bill close to three hundred dollars. I placed a called to the a/c repair company in which Mr. Brannen had told them not to fix it but instead just continue to fill the freon in the unit. When I called Mr. Brannen advising him of the problem, his response was well if you cant afford a $300 light bill then move. When I moved as per his instructions, he took me to court in the wonderful town of Metter, where we appeared before Madge Byrd. Mr. Brannen manipulated the court system and was giving the awardment. However, I was never notified until after the appeal time period had expired. Do you really want someone in office that is going to twist thing to benefit himself? He also believes himself to be above the law. Georgia state landlord/tenant law indicates that your deposit is to stay in escrow and that you are to notify the tenant as to it were abouts. Of course, Mr. Brannen did not place my deposit in escrow nor could he account for it. I am asking all citizens of Statesboro, GA to think long and hard. Do you want such a man making decision on your behave?
