The Republicans were too intelligent to vote in favor of something they had not even read. The Democrats, on the other hand, were as ignorant as Obama knew they were and knew he could count on them supporting it. There you have it. It's like the libroids on this forum. They don't have any idea what they are supporting. They are just supporting it because Obama told them to.

Look! It cracks me up that liberals won't take ANY responsibility for what is happening. 17% of the government is shut down. THANK YOU for alluding to a PARTIAL shutdown. I think you've been the ONLY lib who has mentioned that. Don't you think it rather interesting WHICH things have been "chosen" to be shut down? Wonder how it's decided? I'll bet NO REPUBLCANS have been in included in THAT decision. Remember: Obama is at the helm. This is on HIS watch.
You want to talk about blackmail? Look to your OWN party. YOUR guy stated he wouldn't compromise. What can you do with that? Where can you go? He is a FOOL of epic proportion and PROUDLY I didn't vote for him. I completely agree with your statement about the struggle. There are NO heroes. Perhaps if Obama hadn't startd out his presidency by strutting around and declaring it's his way or the highway, he MIGHT could garner at least a little cooperation when the chips are down. He has NO BUSINESS in the WH.
Its things that are deemed by the powers in each department as non essential to the United States of America. Obama doesn't sit down and make a list, that's ridiculous!!! Non essential things like death benefits to our fighting men killed in action. Food for poor kids in schools all over the country. And lots of things that really don't matter, unless its how you make your living and feed your family with those wages. Some politician trying to make his fortune satisfying a small percentage of America has decided you just don't really need to eat, and his constituents agree.

What planet do you live on, seriously. Obama strutting around saying it his way or the highway. His presidency is an example of dysfunctional government at its worst. Small pockets, mostly in the south have elected self centered, greedy will do anything for a buck hatchet men who have stymied government at every turn. They pretend to be working for America, not so, its a personal play for power. And the people in those districts are so pissed at everything and everyone they vote for the morons, crying for smaller government. At the same time the are driving on hwys funded by the feds, flying safely with a system funded by the feds, taking meds that are safe due to funding by the feds, eating food inspected for quality by the feds and enjoying state benefits taken credit for by states, but funded by the feds!! And the most ironic things of all, getting federally funded retirement pay (Social Security) and federally paid for health care (Medicare). The two largest expenses government has other than an overblow defense budget.

Can't get too much more two faced than that now can you.

The only reason Obama was elected to a second term, a stonewalling minority in congress made it any easy road back to the Whitehouse. So in fact you helped elect Obama to office. Every bill you complain about was passed by congress, he just signs them into law. Something conservative seem to have developed a problem with, laws only matter when they agree with them,that's a fact jack!

Why did the democrats not pass these three bills?

Accordingly, House Republicans presented three bills to restore funding to national parks, veterans and the District of Columbia government. Democrats voted down all three.(For procedural reasons, the measures required a two-thirds majority.)

Don't you just hate democracy.

It really sucks when your party represents the crazy, the ignorant, and the racist.

What a surprise the crazy, ignorant, racist party members didn't vote for reasonable and rational bills.

I know, let's compromise with the loons and pretend the Earth is a million years old, that raped women secrete only moderately powerful super secret sperm killers, and that it's only relatively moronic to divert billions of dollars each year from health care into corporate profits.

This is just a thought but hasn't the liberals given any thought to the huge debt that the U.S. owes?
They don't want to cut one penny in government expenditures. In fact they want more and more. Our tax money is like sex or cocaine to them.
Can't they see that soon this country is going to self destruct into bankruptcy and there will be no Federal money for any of their pet projects. There will only be the most destructive depression the world has ever seen. Raising the debt limit will push this country closer to the edge of no return and into a guaranteed bankruptcy where all Federal programs and our standard of living will be lost.
Wouldn't it be better to cut back and try to live within our means than lose it all? Or are they actually trying to destroy this country?

The "Tea Party".
The wheezing sound in Washington is the death rattle of the selfish, hypocritical, government-dependent hypocrites;
who rely on Social Security (which liberal Democrats provided), as their pensions, and which Right Wing Republicans killed;
and
Medicare (which liberal Democrats provided), for their healthcare;
and which Right Wing Republicans want to kill;
all the time whining and forcing the rest of is to pay the taxes that support the programs that keep the Tea Baggers alive.
The true heart of a progressive. Euthanasia can't be far behind so that they won't have to pay for the "old folks".
A stretch? No, they really have no respect for life and are driven by money. How else can you explain one of their darlings, John Holdren and his idea that forced sterilizations, forced abortions and abortions of two year-olds because, "we don't have much invested in them", is right and proper. He denies ever having those views even though he co-authored a book which lays this out as a strategy. When he gets caught lying he claims his views have changed. No wonder he and Obama are such good pals.

Sure.

The problem is Right Wingers have deluded themselves into thinking their "Conservatives", when they are a actually "Reactionaries."

It's not a new phenomena, throughout history as the previously powerful majority is relegated to the status of politically impotent minority, it's member a become vehemently reactionary, using increasingly anti-democratic tactics to try to overcome their declining political power.

That's why:
having lost the Senate,
lost the House,
lost the Presidency,
lost in the Supreme Court,
lost again in the Senate,
and lost again in the House,
the Right Wing is attempting to prevent the Law of the Land, democratically enacted, from being implemented.

As "Crazy Cruz" himself admits - if we don't stop implementation of ObamaCare now, Americans will come to love it - and we'll never get the Law overturned.

That is the definition of a "Reactionary" - a politically impotent minority using extortion and blackmail to prevent Law enacted by the majority.

I don't know if this has been posted yet or not. If so I apologize.
I see President Obama's approval ratings have dropped to 37%. That is about as low as his ratings can go as about 37% of the population is socialist or communist.If his ratings drop much lower than he has lost his base of die hard supporters.

Spoken like a TRUE Obamabot. He's proud of you.
If you think for a minute that the democrats aren't picking and choosing whom is going to be shut down, you need to take the blinders off. If Obama were honest about ANYTHING, a lot of problems we are having right now probably could have been avoided. This country is in a horrendous mess and it's his lack of leadership that has lead to this. If he had acted like a mature individual from the get go, the republicans might have been williing to work with him. He passed a healthcare law without one republican vote of support. Not one. He has NEVER reached across the aisle. His arrogant self has never felt the need. How can you possibly look at our country today and think we are better due to his presidency?
Personally, I think those government programs you posted should be handled on the state level. OBVIOUSLY, the government doesn't do a very good job. Now, it will be handling our healthcare. How can an intelligent person support that???? Are you THAT satisfied with our government? You know, I was thinking earlier today. The government threatens to run out of social security, but I've never heard the government threaten to run out of food stamp money. We worked and paid into social security and THAT'S the program that the government is always threatening us with. Any thoughts on that?

The interview is self explanatory. Americans are being screwed and the Democrats are sitting there laughing at us and giving us the middle finger. Have they become so powerful that they have no reason to be afraid of the consequences of their actions? If Americans are not willing to take this abuse is Obama going to declare martial law next?

Do you want the debt ceiling raised again with no budget and only vague lying promises to cut spending? Well what do you want? Either you want to give the democrats a blank check or you don't. Answer the question and quit B.S'ing. Bush is not president anymore. So quit trying to cloud the issues of today with your long winded bull of the past. This is 2013!!
