I love the Olive Garden but I would not consider it "the most real Italian in the world."

And, sorry, you've never been to Italy. If so you must have eaten at McDonalds. Most any Italian restaurant there would make Olive Garden look real bad. Their sauces are terrible, and their bread is typical Texas bullshit bread. Squishy and soft....

You cannot find good Italian bread in Texas...trust me.

The Olive Garden is planned for the area still under development, between Best Buy/Belks and the Truck Stop/Rockwall Travel Center.

"English Teacher" that old "at" thing went away a hundred years ago. Don't you wish you were a teacher drawing a plush salary for very little work?

The site plan has been approved by P&Z and the council has approved the the variance so they will probably start clearing the site soon.

I don't agree that good grammar is outdated. We all make grammatical mistakes, but it doesn't hurt to keep learning and remembering how our language works. People like English Teacher can be annoying, but they help us learn from our/others' mistakes.

Does anyone know what is being built in front of the Belk complex near the I30 service road? Could it be the Olive Garden?

Olive Garden pulled out. The new council is openly talking about lowering all the construction standards in Rockwall. Olive Garden has a certain look and feel of a city they want to be in and while they like the way Rockwall is now, they are concerned about the lower standards and don't want to be in another "Mesquite." Sad too, because the building they proposed originally looked really cool.

Actually spoke with the developer last week. They said quite the opposite. The person said the council is more rational and were intimidated by a rude council member no longer there. They will be coming in the next few months.

Seriousley??? The new council wants to reduce construction standards?? That's the last thing Rockwall needs to do...been to Allen lately? Those guys got it going on with development standards!

You know the hardest job at Olive Garden?
Holding the plate behind the horse to get the "product"
However...Let me clarify, I do eat there on a regular basis because I am a poor slob, and I really like the horse product. I try to sound mean, and then I realize I am just the same as every other moron on this site.
