Why do the rules have to change for the person who breaks them? It has nothing to do with the fact that she knew ALL the rules before she took the job. I am sure because I know who is in charge of the hiring there and that these code of conduct rules are placed before EVERY employee before they are hired. I am sure she was nodding her head YES I WILL FOLLOW EVERY RULE IF YOU GIVE ME THE JOB. Quit blaming Christians for her getting fired because she couldn't abide by the rules of her job. I know plenty of teachers and educators in Rockwall as well as other cities that don't drink alcohol in the city they work for because of a code of conduct they have to abide by. How would you feel if you saw your principal or child's teacher out drunk at a restaurant acting like a fool? They are role models plain and simple and live in the public eye. Do not think any differently. They have to take responsibility for their actions. I feel for this teacher and wish her nothing but the best, Having a child is a beautiful thing, planned or unplanned, don't let anyone tell you differently. I don't care if she was married or not, but it was part of her job and she knew this. we all make mistakes, but sometimes in life we have to pay for our mistakes. Life is not about everyone getting a participation trophy.

This is a perfect example of why parents who pay RISD school taxes ALSO CHOOSE to pay tuition to private religious schools such as HCA. Rules may be a little stricter and they can reasonably expect a administrators, teachers, and students to be held to a higher standard.

RCA (Rockwall "Christian" Academy) isn't much better. Oh, they'll fire any unwed mother for being pregnant or even divorced. But the sex parties that used to go on there when the Church On The Rock had it was rather interesting. If you didn't get knocked up, nothing could become public........and the fun continued. But that place has had it's act cleaned up for at least 15 years now. But the teachers were pretty wild back in the day.

My daughter attended RCA school and at the time that we enrolled her we had to READ ALL RULES AND SIGN!! One of the rules were if our daughter became pregnant she would be discharged from the school. It has nothing to do with not being forgiving of the lady. In the Bible pre marital sex is wrong PERIOD end of discussion. If they let this teacher remain at the school then they would be condoning her behavior and therefore going against the teachings of the Bible. I'm sure she can find another job in the PUBLIC school system.
