My doorbell rang, there he was, country prime foods salesman with two boxes of meat, one chicken one beef. I could have the beef free if I bought the chicken for $318. He showed me all the kryo packs and all looked goof. I bought it and then went to the internet. Not happy with what I read, so I cancelled my check. It's now two weeks and he hasn't come back., I contacted the company and asked that he return, They said they just opened a worksite in Tacoma at University Place and the salesmen buy the meat on consignment. They get to negotiate with you on the price, which is their commission. I asked for him to return, haven't heard anything as yet. We tried one strip steak - very good, one tenderloin - not as good, and one something - not good at all.

I bought meat from the company that comes around in the neighborhood 2 times and it was good.Don't buy meat off the guys that have a household freezer in the back of their truck, like a chest freezer! The guys that have good product are the ones that have a nice meat truck with a custom made freezer in the back.

I agree with Matt. Here in California their are reputable home delivery meat companies. Just read the side of the box and look for the grade of meat. if you chose to buy, buy from someone who is in a real freezer truck, not a truck with chest freezer in the back. My wife bought at least 3 times and the beef, chicken, and pork were good enough for us to continue our interest.

What a history with this company! Used to be country fed meat company, but got into mass trouble some years back.....tax evasion,atf busted harry for guns (illegal) or something like that? Also harry was the one that was caught on tape beating up someone at his kids baseball game. Countryfed never paid its workers either! Watch out,his brother mike peaden will try to sweet talk his way into your ladies pants! He thinks he is high and almighty with his millions$$$$$! Just a bunch of crooks trying to do it once more,just under a different name! Any complaints?just contact the consumers protection agency for your state

To all the meatmen out there if you wana stay in business for a while bite the bullet, spend a little more on your product from a local processing plant im telling you, you will be pleasently surprised at your customer feedback. thanks for reading.lifes too short. Hey guys still sellin meat here my customer base is much bigger now I have to say this there is a certain meat pack called.prarie gold meats originally on line for 300 that I sell for less than half price in this day in age its not what u know its who u know if musicians sold there cd what they get them for how could they.make money the average burger cost 10 cents to make and a cup cost 10 cents as well but u pay 5 sometimes 6 and 7 dollars so if u go to a store and buy a inch and a quater cut steak bout 12 or 14 oz would u get that for 2.95 forget how many pounds I have never in my life heard any body get invited for supper and that person would ask how many pounds is this steak on my plate ur giving me if it looks enuff it is enuff guys and people inn the world need to be a lil open minded if it sound fair and looks fair give it a try u only live once and becareful who u buy from check the accredibility thats all and dont believe every thing u see and read check the accredibility thanks and godbless

praire gold is the same as chefs classic it all comes from ellison meat. one of the worst processing plants out there unless ur customers live in a cave. dont mean to put ur product down, but u are short changing urself becouse you could have better product. u sound like a common sence type of person, ur cusomers will stop buying from u and u will have to start knoking doors again. people dont mind paying a lil more for quality, they do not like to buy steaks expecting it to be as good as you tell them they are and come to find out there not as good, people are tired of being burnt. Look at all the responses, google any six pack companies comments they are all the same trust me dude.your going backwards. my advice to you is try a local butcher have them cut your meat in the portions u want and try it that way, you will have customers for a long time. residual income my friend. right now your on the fast track of burning your area out. they will work with you on your boxes, crovacking etc.etc. if nothing changes nothing changes take it ez

if it looks like a duck walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, quess what its a duck, if you are one of us that sales beef product, chicken, seafood, pork door 2 door and you really like what you do. all these reviews comments have to effect you, like they do me. if the company you sale for is anything like these people are talking about refer to the duck paragraph above. these companies are killing the industry. you wont be able to make the kinda money you are now, trust me they will fall. they are building there companies on broken foundations. go to a processing plant tell them what you want portion to portion. majority of the time they will be able to accomidate you, if not go to another one. they all make money by selling product , people want at the least select grade. but for alil more you can get choice. ive been doing this for 13 years ive tried alot of the norm processing plants. same outcome every time they suck. stack your cash becouse b4 you know it they will be gone. are pay a lil more and be proud of what you do. (im out)

by the way the more i read dameatmans response i say hes full of shit, no hard feelings take it how u want to. praire gold is ellison meat company look and see how many recalls they have had. good wholesome meat is out there if you want it.

Its pretty hard to get scammed on Steak! Take a look at the product. If is some crackhead pulling a grociery bag out of his trunk I dont recomment buying. If its a company with a labeled vehicle and the meat come in nick packaging whats the harm in taking a look. Ive bought many times from people that come around. Most of the time it has been great and a great deal. Read the labels, if it says "USDA Choice," it going to be good meat. PS, everything we buy comes off the back of a truck one way or another!@

How do you people think your foods get to the grocery store? Whats wrong with cutting out the mark up of a retail market and employees?
There are honest delivery companies out there with quality food. I have a mortgage in a nice neighborhood, great children , cars, and toys. And none of this was gained by "scamming" anyone.
