I am looking for a private investigator that used to practice and live in the Rockville area in the mid 1990's. If anybody knows where he has probably retired at please leave a message and I will leave a e-mail to contact me by.

I think you are talking about the investigator that I hired to investigate Rodger and Duke's death. He was from Indy, His name is Michael Chaney.

Thank you Lila, and yes that is the investigator I am looking for. Having no luck, do you know if he used middle name? or letter? I have searched and called alot of Chaneys in Indiana but no such luck. Any help would be appreciated.

We found a PI in Rockville in 2009 and found them by going to the Indiana website IPLA. Accrding to the site anone who has or has ever had a Private Investigator License in Indiana will be listed there. It shows current license, past licenses and shows if they have ever been reremanded by the state.

Tried it but couldn't get it to do anything.
Was it: www.in.gov/pla/ ? If not, could you please post the link?

http://www.in.gov/pla/index.htm is the website. As with several in.gov sites it is down on a regular basis, just keep trying. When it does function you can use the "license express" or the "search and verify" buttons.

The site is up and running again. Go to License express and choose to look up a corporation, salon, business, etc.(not a person) You will need to change the top tab to Private Investigator Firms on the drop down menu. From there you can type in a specific city, state, etc to find a local PI.

How do you find an individual?

PI's are now listed as agencies, not individuals so you will have to look through the firm names (alphabetical)to find a specific PI.

Try spell check! If you check you can see that you are spelling my name wrong.

Worth mentioning a spell check will only work for words that are listed within the dictinary, this discounts using it for name checks.

Agree. I think no matter how he convinced Mrs. Crum, this "Mike Chaney" is not the PI she hired and is just in here fishing for info or wants to make an ass out of himself.
