US Postal service is going broke because of union contracts.
Towns on long Island are burdened with municipal workers unions-
no cut, no layoff, benefits till death contracts.
auto workers,teachers, cops firemen they are ruining this country.
They suck the till dry and only want more.
Its time to stand up and say Unions are a huge problem.
show me a union worker and i will show you a sponge.
dump all unions, their time is up.The ride is over.

Let's make a clear distinction here. It is the PUBLIC sector unions that are the problem, such as CSEA in Nassau and the SEIU. PRIVATE sector unions such as the trades (Local 3, Carpenters, steamfitters) I have no problem with, they have every right to organize and do their thing.

Private sector Union workers don't get to retire after working 20 years and there benefits are paid for by their employers.

PUBLIC sector workers are the problem. They dont' contribute to their retirement or benefits, they end up on a pension for more years than they worked with the length of time that people are working and they are sucking the taxpayers dry.

And they get away with it because they pay off the people that are supposed to be representing the TAX PAYERS at the bargaining table, our humble politicians! They do it through campaign contributions and support.. that is not right, and it is not fair. We the taxpayer need someone at the table looking out for us, but we don't have that, just the Union bosses and the politicians they bought and paid for.

The biggest mistake of JFK's Presidency was when he allowed Government workers to organize.

Even that great liberal, FDR was against public sector unions because he knew that fundamentally, it would just lead to fraud and corruption.

Hey Long Island is getting destroyed by BAD Union contracts that were over the top.

They paid Cops too much on LI

They paid Teachers too much on Long Island

Both are like part time jobs and they make over the top pay for both jobs on Long Island. Nassau cops work 3 days a week, teacher work 6 hour days and only 185 days a year both get pay for full time work and over $100K a year, usually in the range of $120K a year.
