This lady that was a teacher at Kinnikinnick School said her mother wrote the History of Roscoe, and also said a tornado ripped through Kinnikinnick around 60 or 40 years ago. Is this true?

Not through Kinnikinnick School that I'm aware of 40-60 years ago. There was a bad tornado that hit Belvidere IL in 1967 that killed a number of High School Students that were boarding their buses to go home when it hit. It also went through the High School there. I lived just east of Roscoe in the rural area from 1958 until 1983.
Who was the teacher that told you this if you remember?

Nola Carnine's mother. She came in and showed a picture of what appears to be a building with its roof ripped off (consistent with F2 damage). I did my research and it turns out there was a tornado in Roscoe on October 8, 1958. It traveled 81 miles from northwestern Illinois to a few miles west of Lake Michigan near the Wisconsin border and then there was that tornado that ripped the garage off the local fire department.
