am very concerned about the alarming rate of permits issued for drilling in our state. The by product of fracking is toxic waste, heavy metals. The well sites have frac ponds full of toxic waste. How safe are these ponds? Can they overflow? What happens to this waste? Are the ponds holding all the waste by product involved in the fracking process, how often do they overflow? Why is the toxic cocktail secretive? Why are some doctors wanting more research done about people getting sick near the well sites? Is there a connection? Has greed taken over? Will our state suffer from the toxic waste? Are Rockport citizens finding jobs at the well sites? Why are there so many makeshift camp sites popping up? Why are the motels and hotels filled with out of state workers? Why is it very difficult for Texas people to find rentals? How could there be any jobs left for Texans with the influx of so many from out of state? Why are the inspectors at these sites from out of state? Have these frac ponds and the land near them been tested on a regular basis? Will the thousands of gallons daily being taken from our rivers and streams for the fracking process hurt the environment? At anytime is there toxic waste being put back in our waters and streams? Is this being closely monitored? Would our elected officials want to live by a frac pond? Who is going to pay for the roads in horrible condition being paved due to hauling the massive size equipment to these well sites?
