What the heck is going on with the lobster men in Matinicus and Owls Head? Isn't there enough ocean for everyone?

NO, there is NOT enough good fishing areas around. Plenty of waters, but no lobsters. You should know, IF you are from Rockland what the problem is. Also you should know that the lobsters move around during shedding season and the temps of the waters. This congregates them in certain areas. I have studied them a long time ago. I have done studies aboard the boats. Been there done that.
