She comes from a good family and married into a good family. I happen to belong to the same family she married into and I know she knows better. She has had it rough and I'm not sure where her morals went briefly, but she is a good girl and she deserves mercy. I am sure she feels terrible and she will face the fire for what's she's done. I do not support stealing ever... ever! I do however try not to judge harshly.

What the heck? I went to school with her. Briefly my foot. Story says she did it for an effin year! I am blown away by this. The Smiths are great peeps. There's no excuse. And her sister got away with stealing from children school because the people at the church didn't want anybody to know they were so slack if in fact she actually did it. Who knows since somebody said she denied doing it.

Mercy my foot! What is wrong with people? That's why people does all this.. nothing ever happens to them! They get away with it. Good for the Smith's! Embrassing for her mom, who works there! Sister should of been charged, when stealing from the church. Oh.yea.she now works for PSD!! She can get away with anything there also, look at SM,CW, the news would have a field day with this. AH is divorced from your good family I heard.

I'm waiting for a Christain to post a comment. So far all I read is from folks who dare not forgive.Look folks,I have had a bad-bad life from six years of age til only a few years ago.I have done a lot of jail time with real crooks and bad people.I know what bad IS and I know this lady, and I can assure you that she is a one timer when it comes to making this kind of choice. She by no means is the kind who needs to be in jail. However I also know the Smith family and as some of you have said, they are good as gold.I hate what happened for every one involved, especially the young lady's mom who also works at the drug store.I know that Mr. Smith had to be as much hurt as he was angry.I'm sure she will pay some price to make things right but, I can also tell you that if you ever need a helping hand and she can help-she will.Lucky for some of us that our dirty laundry ain't hung out to dry on this forum---ain't it.

I would like to think she wouldn't do this, too, but geeeesh, a YEAR of it? She got caught or she'd still be doing it. Ain't my place to judge nobody. I just can't get why somebody would do somethin so stoopid. That's lots of cash too. Sneaky little thing ain't she. I don't know how she done it without somebody knowin

Get over yurself, if you want to defend her pay SL back and shut up

I agree with you CB I was friends with her dad, damn good people!!
Her mom has worked for SL since she was sixteen, looks like they would have fired her (daughter) and give them a chance to pay the $ back and beleive me they could come up with that kinda cash!!! instead they chose to ruin her life.

I'm sorry, but since when does her stealing money and being held accountable for her crime become "Them ruining her life??" It's not like she 5 yrs old and took a candy bar. It's $20,000!

I dont know her, but just reading the story and then your comments confuses me as to why this became the Smith's fault?

Curious to hear the logic in that.

Don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life or as they say ROFLMBAO! You think she thought about what all those folks have done for HER and her KIDS? She stole day in and day out, had to run up $20k! Damn good people don't steal PERIOD. What Alicia does as an employee has NOTHING to do with her parents because its a personnel issue.

Besides, how do you know they didn't give them a chance to make it good? If I were her momma, I'd tell her to suck it up. She ruined her own life and she's a legal adult so she can sleep in her own bed without her momma bailing her out. Tough love, tough titty! She should have been a big girl and put on her big girl drawers and told her momma she was effin up! Not like she confessed.

Her good folks seem to be 2 for 2 with kids taking what don't belong to 'em .

I remember when the Smith's friend (next door bus.) son broke into the drugstore and stole more than 20k worth of drugs. They let him off with $$$
Whats the difference?

O.K. O.kaaaaaay-LET'S say that a certain lady stole money while employed with the city a few years ago.Whoa horsey-the new mayor(Lewis) n' sidekick(Waldrip) quietly let her resign while promising to pay back the money.Wanna know how much has been paid back?---------And then the flower boy stole from the little league and did how much time in jail?---------And just how much money in the form of (GRANTS) go toward fixing up property's in the downtown area?,owned by which two mayors????ON and on--was'nt but one Jesus that I know of and I think that even he is a little forgiving--sometimes...

Im sure there is lots of corruption and stealing and cheating etc.. going on in Rockmart,, just as there is in any other city in America.

My point here is that the Smith's have every right to press charges againt this woman for stealing from them. I guarantee there are very few people on here or anywhere that, come down to it, would just let that go. And if they do, then that's their business. Doesn't make them better people or worse people.

You can forgive someone and still hold them accountable for their actions. It's the only way people will learn from their mistakes.

To go back to the sentence "to Christians." Not sure what you mean by that. Anyone who believes God created us could call themselves a Christian. But I see too many people so caught up in being a "Christian" that they fail to see how they are mistreeting others. Being a Christian doesn't mean you think people are above the law. Are you saying that the cops are only for non-Christians?

If Smiths forgave someone who stole from them before that is their decision. I don't know about that. But it seems this is an ongoing thing and totaly different. I mean she stole allot of $$$$! I don't blame them one bit for reporting that. She's a nice gal and all but I don't think some people really know her. You don't just do something like this the first time. I don't think she's on drugs so what other excuse could she have. Sometimes the nicest people are the ones that will steal you blind. Truely sad, tho.
