First, the family should have taken the responsibility of taking care of people that age and taking them places they needed to go. Younger people now are like you, only care about themselves and what Springer has on his show. Get a life and accept responsibility for yourself and stop blaming others. Oh, also do spell check next time, if you do that nobody will know you're liberal.
Go ahead and check my spelling this time. I am nowhere near a liberal. What I'm not is an idiot. I have truck drivers deliver to my shop daily and believe it or not I drive a semi time to time. I have been on the streets of this town since I could drive. There was nothing but McDonalds, Triangle foods and Hardees on that strip when I first roamed the streets. If you knew anything about Rockmart you would know that we are a little bit stubborn. I suppose you big city folk would have your kids run you around but here in this town the conservatives take care of themselves. Their kids were probably at work. Something that true conservatives teach their kids. You should talk to your parents about this. They must have missed this lesson with you.

What my parents did teach me to do was stay away from inbreeding. I guess the lesson you missed being stubborn in a small town with limited people. We can sit an insult one another all day, the fact is, not all semi trucks speed. The driver of the hit vehicle is at fault. It's terrible that it happened, but the innocent trucker has to live with it.

You should realy watch your toung. The roads have changed much in this small town and some of the elderly do their best to get around. I'm sure the two of them knew more about a hard days work than you do. This isnt the place to take your grief out on liberals. Find anoter post.

Do us all a favor and SHUT UP! This town is grieving! We do not need your input. We know what happened. We happen to live here. Keep your insulting mouth to yourself. And even if you are an IDIOT, you go on now and have a nice day! We Rockmart (limited people) will grieve for Turners and the truck driver.

The family should have hired Rockmart working man to drive them around, he obviously don't work considering he is up all night on here. If not, the couple should have been at home baking cookies instead of keeping the roads hot.

I have sat at that intersection before and watched as a big eighteen wheeler slid clear through the light even after I had a clear green light.I'm just thankful that in my older age I don't trust going as soon as the light turn green for you.I always pause now and look both ways anyway. However,in this case the trucker was not at fault and I am wondering if this person could of had a seizure or something that would make him push down on the gas.For what ever reason I feel sorry for all involved. With such an increase in traffic why can't we have strobes on the bottoms of the lights to better gain your attention like some other busy intersections do?Just a thought. Peace

We may never know.It is a dangerous intersection that is for sure. A friend of mine wittnessed the accident. I just can't stand it that someone can come on here and insult the elderly. Accidents happen everyday, that is why they are called ACCIDENTS. I hope the family finds some kind of inner peace. To lose two family members has got to be a difficult thing to face.Bless them, and the truck driver.

well, this is what somebody posted on Facebook:

"she saw a Semi blow through the light right after it had turned red -- and the car was making a left hand turn and the Semi basically T-boned it and caved the whole passenger side of the car in... My roommate was so shaken up ....she was so shaken up by what she had just seen. Semi-s and other trucks treat that Bypass like it is an interstate."

So, did they interview witnesses before they decided no charges would be filed?

Facebook is all bull anyways. Don't believe that juvenile junk. If your Facebooker seen it all, they would have seen the 3 witnesses that were interviewed along with a dot officer who witnessed it as it happened.

We should put our brain and heart in motion before we write about thing like this accident. Accidents do happen and people do get killed but in this case instead of saying bad things about either of these drivers, why don't wejust pray for these people families?

hey Slam-it-in-the girl, I'm not "slanging"(as u said it) anyone. I'm just sick of the people always blaming truckers for everything. I'm not a trucker, but I am thankful for them. I guess all of you inbreeders in rockmart think that Walmart, Krogers, and everywhere else you shop day to day magically refills itself everyday.

Wick I understand your support of truckers but you need to learn about respect when you're addressing a woman on here. This isn't the middle east.
