I know its hard on the family and my prayers are with you. However, I'm thankful the truck driver wasn't on a motorcycle considering he/she wasn't at fault. Would have been a much different outcome. The lord was with him/her as well.

I'm glad someone thought of the truck driver, its a hard situation and he along with their family will have to be affected by this tragedy. Too many people don't pay attention around trucks.

yeah I guess with 6 troopers and police, with no charges filed, it appears he wasn't flying. Some drivers follow the rules of the roadway.

The speed limit if I'm not mistaken is 55 and I rarely see anyone even doing 50 through that stretch of roadway. People in cars just need to slow down and pay attention around big trucks. Also if your in a car never ride along the passenger side of a truck. It very hard to see a car there when your setting up that high and its our blind side with limited viability. We don't stop on a dime and when a car is hit by one the car is sure to lose. But I feel bad for everyone in the accident along with those who witnessed it. I know how the trucker feels also as I have hit a car that was not paying attention and crossed my path. I my self have seen people that have not made it and helped with first aid until medics could arrive. I still struggle with the nightmares from all my years of driving. But I wish the best for all involved and hate to hear of a life lost.

It's ashamed that people on here continue to fault the truck drivers. It's obvious the driver of the rig done nothing wrong. I would bet the people that are posting this junk are unemployed, uneducated liberals who are always looking for a handout from large companies or the government. You're always bashing the working man. It's too bad you know when to turn in front of a truck!

Just READ the damned story!!!

The driver of the CAR is at fault. HE turned smack into the path of the truck.

Question to ponder: How does a person miss seeing a huge rig anyhow?

You should realy watch your toung. The roads have changed much in this small town and some of the elderly do their best to get around. I'm sure the two of them knew more about a hard days work than you do. This isnt the place to take your grief out on liberals. Find anoter post.

Thank you Nutter. I'm glad you read it. The driver was in his late 80's, he was probably just a little to old to be driving.

Thank you! No one said THE DRIVER of the TRUCK was speeding if some of you could even read. It was a horrible accident, and I am devastated. In general, everyone needs to be reminded to slow down and be careful!

First, the family should have taken the responsibility of taking care of people that age and taking them places they needed to go. Younger people now are like you, only care about themselves and what Springer has on his show. Get a life and accept responsibility for yourself and stop blaming others. Oh, also do spell check next time, if you do that nobody will know you're liberal.

Friend..FYI, if you read the post, all they are talking about is how fast the trucks drive through there.
