Why is this guy buying everything in rockmart and turning it into a log cabin? How much room do you need to showcase your wealth? If you want to do something good for the community, why don't you bring some business into the town that will employ people around here rather than buy everything and open it once a month?

I didn't say he was obligated to produce any jobs hoochie momma, Let me break it down for you in a simple language you may understand.
An individual with as much money as he is throwing around for a select few, SHOULD have enough business connections to showcase to business prospects that ,this town is JOB STARVED and there are plenty of good sites around here that a business, that would actually HELP the community, could build and employ local people and pay them a wage to were they could feed their family. Then they wouldn't be lined up at the food banks as you see them now. Maybe the citizens who live here don't want the entire community turned into log cabins with old advertisement signs hanging everywhere. He has now bought the body shop behind him, the beauty shop next door, the houses next to his once a month business, which he flattened (including the historic home behind them) and I've heard he has bought Forsyth Ford as well.
Pretty soon the entire downtown will be log cabins.
I mean if he is so hell bent on owning Rockmart, Do something for IT.

So what are you doing GOOD for the community other than being disrespectful to a woman?

You must be his bbw wife, if he bought the theater he would turn it into a log cabin, the only kind his workers know how to build, I haven't turned anything in the community into a log cabin from the 1980's era, shoved down any homes nor do I manufacture and distribute meth, so therefore I guess I have done nothing for this community.
Why so bitter

And the only thing you are doing for the community now is acting like a clown. Why such a foul attitude? So the man has a little money. Its his!Maybe if you were working instead of blasting a successful person YOU could have something too!

I work and I have plenty, and I also help out in the community and I also do charity work, what I don't do is turn everything into log cabins with tacky signs all over the outside of it.

Yes, Georgia Power, At&T, Direct TV, Scanna Energy, City of Rockmart, Phillips Petroleum, Washington.....

All I am pointing out here is if this guy is a multi millionaire and leaving in this area,( Which really makes little sense ) WHY can't he do something good for the community with some of the money he has been fortunate enough to obtain OTHER than flaunt it in the citizens faces here whom are struggling to pay there bills and feed their families.

With the kind of money he is throwing to the wind, he could attract some type of factory to build here and employ hundreds offering them a better opportunity.

I agree I love it. His buildings look a lot better than anything downtown. His are unique, not all that old boring brick and block, same old, same old. I hope he buys more, he's making Rockmart look better.

First off, he doesn't live here. Secondly, do you think he made that money by making bad business decisions? That's what a decision to open a "factory" here would be. What do you suggest he produce? Lastly, how is he "flaunting" anything? He's buying (for the most part) empty buildings that otherwise would have sat in disrepair and became more of an eye sore with each passing day. Have you seen him walking through town throwing money into the air? I don't think so. While I'm not a fan of cabin style he sometimes uses, its better than the alternative. You cannot tell me that you think the body shop building was more attractive to the eye before he bought it. The historic home behind those houses was in complete disrepair and a danger to anybody who went in it, as well as the back side of the 2 story home in front of it. I hate seeing any house torn down in this area and would have liked to have seen the 2 story fixed, but hey, its his money. More than likely it wouldn't have been repaired by the previous owner and would have continued to decline. So, I know this man didn't make his money by giving it away and he could put it in his pocket and not spend it at all. I think we should be glad that he's chosen to buy some empty buildings that would have remained that way, and do something with them. He has no obligation to employ the community, but I'm sure it would help prospective businesses to come to town with the area looking better. Also, I hear the old gas station building will be turned in to a 50's or 60's style ice cream shop, that will be open. I'm excited to see it.

Of course he doesn't live here, what person with money would live in this sh1thole?

I don't see any post by leftover meatloaf that says this guy should open a factory here, I think ol meat is saying he should try to ATTRACT a business to build here, with his power (money)
I know several people who would jump at the opportunity to work for a good company that pays a good wage, in this town.

Look at the ones we have, barely paying people enough to survive, hell a gallon of gas cost almost as much as the minimum wage!
Well
