The worst towing company in this area is Tow Squad. They tow people for no reason. I used to listen to them on my police scanner, and they would tow cars just for the fun of it (and the money, of course). They're nothing but ripoffs.

These EFFING tow companies are ALL legalized car theft. I was working at a bank in the city and parked in the bank's parking lot (after hours) and when I came back to my van, it was gone. It was a marked company van, BTW. I was only in that bank 15 minutes (ATM repair) too -- that tow driver had to be waiting there to get the vehicle away that fast. I called the police, and they told me to try the local towing garage. Sure enough, my van was there. Having been authorized to park there, they still refused to give my van back (I had to hitch a ride from a coworker), so I called the cops, and THEY SAID THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO! If I stole a car, I'd be in handcuffs and in jail. I had to pay $130 of my own money, IN CASH, to get my company van back. It was the place at 40th and Girard; I forget the name. Those A**HOLES should be locked up!

My old apartment gave us parking stickers. Some chose to affix them directly to their rearview mirror, but i kept mine on the dashboard. This one time i left it in the coffee cup holder and forgot to put it on the dash. My mistake I know. I look out my window, it was in the process of being towed. So I run out and point out to the driver that i do have a sticker and i belong in the lot. I open my door and show him the sticker. He tells me its too late and he has to take it. I argue and plead with him for a long while. He tells me he radioed it in and it will looks suspicious if he comes back without a car. He tell me he will drop it if i pay him the money. I finally do to keep my car. I take it up with the apartment complex and of course the towing company lies and tells them that i came running out with the sticker from inside. Either way these companies are horrible. I finally got half of my money back, but they would not give all. They told me to sue them for the rest.

Legalized car theft is RIGHT! Are they that desperate that they have to sit and wait for an opportunity? It's really a disgrace. And the money they charge is just criminal.

Lou Blum. I'll never forget them either. Same deal, parked in front of my own home, that i own and pay taxes on, and they were just waiting around the corner. they said one of my tires was over the line of a business near by. Jerks.

the way many tow companies operate is borderline criminal. i hope this spurs some kind of legislation to protect car owners from this kind of theft.

My car was towed from ludlow last night or this morning on08/15/2008 I wasn't in fron of any signs or blocking anything. When I went to pick up my car they did not show me the picture that they supposedly had of my car parking illegally as they said and they charged me 214.00 as if they had my car for 2 days in their lot. I would like to know what can I do because that is alot of money and I wasn't parked illegally.

Stevie Wonder can see past you people on here!Botton line is the man that broke the law is going to pay the price. Plain & Simple! Next, don't park your car on or blocking PRIVATE PROPERTY and expect it to be there when you get back if a tower contracts with that property. All this crap about good tow guy bad tow guy, nobody needs to past judgement until the City of Philadelphia comes up with a policy on what to do with unclaimed vehicles that was impounded like the Philadelphia Parking Authority has.(Auction, salvage, etc.) Currently, there is nothing! By law, a tower is only allowed to charge a vehicle owner for 7 days of storage, so whats to happen next? Store the car for free? I think NOT! Towers are looked at as the bad guy, but break down in zero below weather in that hooptie you drive and your begging the tower to stop and help. Take a second to pay attention to the tow away sign or stop being cheap and feed the meter instead of trying to get over at the expense of the property owner or manager who does not want you on his or her property. You want to talk about the company Manton, I personally know of them and I'm pretty sure I can speak on their behalf when I say everyone hates on them because their young, probally the biggest minority owned towing company in the city, and doing a positive thing and when it goes down like that, you devolop haters which most of you who had something negative to say about a company you never interacted with are! Man, atleast they're not selling drugs or out killing people. Like it or not, you gotta respect that in this city! Instead of wasting your time blabbing on about a subject like this, how about speaking up and all these council meetings and getting the city to past some more harsh laws about the real crime in this city. Like the stuff that makes you question sending your child to school because you think about the little girl who got hit by a stray bullet, or the the absolute disregard by the
REAL CRIMINALS to our police officers who are getting wounded and killed left and right! WAKE UP PHILADELPHIA! WAKE UP! You speak up when stuff doesnt matter, but when it does, everyone on here is as quiet as a mouse pissing on cotton! Thats just why the things that really effect us such as
our economy at present is still not addressed because everyone is to busy worrying about or hating on the next man! Because I hate a hater
I can go on and on, but I'm going to close it by saying don't be mad or hate because you see someone doing something you wish you could or can't. Oh and to Manton, keep God first like I
know you do and continue to do the right thing even though things get rough at times. Anything or anyone else is irrelevant!

My son's car was towed on Saturday from Italian Delight in Holmes by Tow Squad. He was going to another establishment but since there were no signs posted and Italian Delight was going to close in 40 minutes he parked in their lot. 45 minutes later he came out to discover that his car had been towed and that is when he found the private lot sign on the ground. He took a picture of it with his cell phone and we took several pictures of the outside of the establishment the following day. He was informed he could not pick up his car until Monday morning. On Monday morning we waited until 9:25 for the owner, who was "out getting coffee." The Tow Squad owner gave me the creeps so I went to Italian Delight to provide them the opportunity to right this wrong and reimburse the $225 he cost my son and also to post the sign in accordance with the law. The owner of Italian Delight was not at all cooperative. So Italian Delight in Holmes will no longer have my business where I would take my Mom to lunch at least twice per month. If they have a contract with "pure scum" as the Ridley Officer referred to the owner of Tow Squad then I prefer not to patronize his restaurant.

The fat slob with orange hair towed my truck from the lot, no visible signs near.Judging by his size I think McDonalds pays him in Big Macs.Or he needed the money to pay the slut that jumped in his truck. One word, " Carma" is going to get you..

Tow Decisions,Inc. are another fing ripoff towing company with no Business ethics. We had a truck towed from the shutdown RiteAid at Bustleton and Red Lion after a Traffic Accident where the Brake Line on the Truck went and so the truck was undrivable so instead of leaving it on the side of the road where someone else might accidentally hit it it was parked in the very front right off Bustleton Ave under the trees. NO SIGNS AT ALL ON THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. This was 8:15pm when the accident happened and by 8:00am the next morning this Low Life Towing Company had it at Aramingo Ave and Wheatsheaf Lane. We had reported it stolen to the Police but they said first check ALL AROUND the building for signs from towing Companies because they are infamous for not putting signs where they are obvious and of course after an accident your not going to have your senses enough to look all around for a tow sign. Their reply was "everyone has to make a living"!! Steer clear of this company. NO ETHICS!!! They never tried to contact us either.

I was in an accident and was told that the insurance company would be billed for all charges. I told them no, I only have liability, and the driver insisted they would pay, that he knows what he's talking about. Complete lie...basically they stole my car because I was correct, insurance won't pay and they won't give me the car back.

Hey Pat Simmons, is that the same Ridley Police Dept that beats up old ladies that work at WAWA and asked a Ridley Cop for ID to buy tobacco? I wouldn't trust what a Ridley Cop says Because Tow Squad is Licensed by the Ridley Police Dept. and regulates the towing rates allowed for towing and the Board of Commissioners in Ridley Twp justed raised the towing and storage fee's to $245.00 so you got off cheap! By the way, did the Ridley Cops help you get your car back?? If not I guess its because TOW SQUAD is legal!! Just be glad the Ridley cops didn't beat you up like that poor little old lady from WAWA!!! They are known for that!!
