First this blog gives out any address it wants you to be from. I don't see any box to put my address in, but I assure you I am from New Milford. Dr Paddyfoote and Dear Mayor this is a time of recession and many people in this town are barley holding onto what they can and have lost their benefits, etc. Retirees are barely holding on. Most of them on fixed incomes. But you are both exstactic you will push more people out of their homes and not having necessary medications, etc. How dare you even consider an increase when you found $800K that wasn't even needed. I know you have lost my vote and Dr. you have lost my respect and people in this town will not follow you on your future endeavors. Guaranteed! Thank you for your leadership.

New Milford is FULL of rednecks...the whole town would have to leave.

That only 17% of the people take their civic responsibility seriously. 83% of the people have nothing to grip about since they didn't vote one way or the other. Of the 17%, I wonder how many have children in our schools? Agreed: I wonder what percentage of New Milford voters file votes for "American Idol" or "Dancing with the Stars." I have no way of proving it, but I shudder to think that the percentage of the "reality" voters is higher.

How do we get this illegal budget overturned? It is my understanding that the town cannot budget and therefore tax for more than it needs - the legal counsel said the $800,000 health insurance money was not needed and therefore is an over taxation and it can only go in the health reserve account. It cannot go towards paving roads or anything else. This budget should be stopped.

If someone is new to computers or this message board it is expected there would be a learning curve. Get off your high horse and ride with the rest of us. Someone who is new to computers should not try to make smart comments when they don't know what they are talking about.

Stupid Town - seriously? Do you want someone to come to your house and drive you to the polls?
$.44 for first class postage minus the rate for bulk mailing, but wait, we need a return receipt so that is $.79/letter x 17,000 voters =$13,420.
Speak up at town council and ask that the registrar of voters get a budget INCREASE of $15,000(future rate increases).
