Knoxville man arrested for dragging dog behind truck

A Knoxville man has been arrested for dragging a small Terrier-mix dog behind a truck in the Middlebrook Pike area.

then let the dogs chase the truck around, before cutting him loose after a mile or three.

I hope there are some good LEO like mine still around,you both know what i mean, Like both your ideas,but mine would get me banned for sure!!!!!!!!!My Dad was one of those kind,Gunner and bet yours was also. My blood just boiled over when I read this story. Rather than me upset the sensitive folks on this thread, just imagine the most cruel, heinous, horrible thing you could do to a human, and you would only come about 1/10th of what I'd like to see done to folks like this that hurt animals. Being a dog lover who spoils my baby,this subhuman should be dragged behind a truck for at LEAST 10 miles.How could he not know he was dragging a dog!??People were yelling at him to stop and he didnt!It's really ironic in a way where we're supposed to be a nation of animal lovers, than you got crap like this person dragging a dog,puppy mills,and another story where someone took a police dog out of its kennel and SHOT it.Seeing the pic of this baby with casts on all four legs,just makes my heart hurt.There was another story recently where a POS threw her dog (pit) into a dumpster even though it was still alive.What the HECK is wrong with society where we have the need to neglect or hurt the ones who have no voice or who cant speak for themselves,as in our children.We're getting worse not better as a society.

Please someone keep up with this story if we don't see it and let us know what goes on. This type of stuff should NOT be a misdemeanor..And, assuming this loser works somewhere.. (I doubt it) garnish his wages and send it straight to helping this little dog recover AND then to the local SPCA for 5 years...

If it was his dog he should be allowed to do whatever he wants.
If it was someone elses he shouldhave to pay the cost to replace the dog with a like kind.
A dog is nothing but property.
If you kill a $1000 dog then you pay $1000 tp replace it.
If you kill a mutt then you just go fiond another mutt and give it to the owner.
