My daughter has this teacher for extra help in reading and she absolutely hates to go see her. We have been fighting with my daughter all year about this. I really hate to go see the woman as she thinks she knows evrything. Anyone else have any problems with their kid or have any advice or should I just make her continue since there is only a few weeks left.

As a parent of 2 children who have been through the "Reading Center" program, I have first hand experience with the one you speak of. This lady turned reading into a very unpleasant experience for my 2 girls. I have expressed my concerns with the classroom teachers many times and they have all agreed that this lady is not running the program the way the school would like it to be run. Your children are not required to be in the program, all you have to do is say that you don't want them in there. A new guy got hired in there last year, and I have heard amazing things about him. I believe she is close to retirement, so hopefully she will be out of the system soon. Unfortunately, it is too late for my kids, but hopefully other children can have a better experience than mine did. Keep in mind that you can always request certain teachers to serve your kids...

Reading center is terrible. My son has the male teacher but it's only caused him to not want to read anymore.
