Can any one tell me why Parkway coaches will not play subs when the game is obviously out of hand .These kids practice hard like everyone else. Is it the old rebuilding excuse? This has been going on for years. Its like coaches want to preserve the point loss number .Come on COACHES!

Sadly when I played for parkway it was a name game/ favoritism thing. If the coaches didn't know you or your family or you didn't kiss their ass all the time you weren't going to start play the middle or even do anything other than help clean up the event after it was finished. I wish that the coaches would let the kids play even if they weren't getting reemed, hell some of the kids that sit the bench for 3 years are the best damned players anyways. Still probabally wont get fixed though Panther Man their coaches they think they know everything and can rarely take constructive critisism or any heckling or discussion.

It's all a name game. You can practice and practice and work harder than anyone on the team, and still sit the bench. And it's "for the team", no. No it's not. It's so the coaches don't look bad when they get beat by 20 instead of 50. In my book, a loss is a loss.

The reason why Parkway is no good at sports is the same reason why the majority of the adult community aren't good at obtaining wealth. The average income in Rockford is $37,000 according to wiki. In St. Henry, the average income is $70,000. People in the southern part of the county know how to get it in real life. They know how to work hard. They know how to go above and beyond and obtain wealth.

People in the Parkway community are content with just going to their daily 9-5 factory job everyday and just getting by on their weekly paycheck. They could careless about starting their own businesses or figuring out other ways to work even harder in order to obtain more wealth.

This thought process rubs off onto their children. The children are content with only showing up at the mandatory practices and doing the least amount of work possible. They don't have the motivation to work twice as hard on their own to get better. They just want to do what the coaches require them to do during the season and nothing more.

St. Henry type people take after their entrepreneur-like-minded parents and go above and beyond in order to become good at athletics. This is common sense and absolutely the number 1 reason why Parkway athletics will always struggle. You must ingrain this type of work ethic in your children from little on up otherwise it's a lost cause.

Take a drive through Rockford and a drive through St. Henry; it'll be pretty obvious to you which group of people know how to get it and which group of people don't; in not only life, but also in athletics.

Whoa...my husband and I have a very nice income, thank you...people that have wealth are not necessarily good athletes...many great athletes came from nothing...Parkway is a name game period...or kissing coach butt...the only thing I agree with is work ethic...we suck at a few sports...explain our records in volleyball, softball, and baseball...don't compare good athletics to money...
