Review: Rockford Motors

If giving no stars were an option, I would have done it. These people are liars, thieves, lazy, incompetent, and I highly recommend anyone looking to purchase a vehicle to stay far, far away from Rockford Motors.
My husband and I purchased our Land Rover from them over a month ago, and we have yet to receive the second key, the owner's manual, the mats for the floors, the missing button covers we were promised and the 6 disk cd changer magazine cartridge. They refuse to call us back, my husband has showed up there on his lunch and they were closed, and we are seriously contemplating calling the police in order to get our things.
When we purchased the vehicle, the transmission was shot, so they sent it to be fixed, which took over a month for them to get things in order. It was so ridiculous; a two year old could manage the place better. Finally, I had to go and pick the vehicle up from the garage where it had been fixed, but it had not been delivered to us. That was 3 weeks ago. My husband and I have been trying to get any of the guys over there on the phone so that we can pick up the rest of OUR belongings.
A little too late, My husband contacted the Better Business Bureau and found out that they had 10 complaints made against them in the past 36 months, not including ours. I wish we would have checked there first, but we thought we were doing a good thing, buying from a local dealership that was not owned by a conglomerate.
DO NOT purchase anything from this place, or you will be as sorry as we are!

A Fradulent Dealership who should not be in business. They are very unprofessional, unorganized and at this point running a criminal scam.
I would highly recommend staying away from this dealership as you will be brought into mess as they have no clue how to run a clean business. They have several complaints and criminal investigations currently against them.

we bought a volvo from them in March 08 and never got a title - after several calls and stop bys they admitted that they didn't transfer the car correctly. Now today I get a license plate and registration from them?? When I already have a plate and registration... but no title still. I have no doubt that what they are dong is criminal at this point - I know they were successful at one time but obviously got in deep at some point. Should we call the police to report?

We purchased a warranty along with our car, and the warranty was never submitted to the company, so my guess is that they have pocketed the money. We attempted to contact them several times, and they just led us on, finally we found the owner and contacted him at home and he never returned our call. We sought legal counsel but figured it would catch up with them and eventually they will be out of business. Please report all of your complaints to the BBB concering this company. They are crooks.

For those who have yet to receive a title, run you VIN through CARFAX...I bet it was reported stolen...probably out of Florida. Contact the local police and report it...
