I can't even begin to tell you what a positive experience we had with Solko Photography. I was the mother of the bride and as nervous as my daughter was. Debbie was so patient and calming, she really helped take the edge off for both of us. Plus she made sure we got all the important shots plus some extras we requested in a timely manner,(which is crucial when you only have the church for an hour) and the pictures turned out fantastic!!!! I've seen a lot of wedding photography and nothing even holds a candle to my daughter's. We definitely got our money's worth!

Solko Photography photographed our wedding last summer and we were extremely happy. The pictures were gorgeous and extremely professional. The video was unbelievable!

I worked with the Solko's on a wedding reception in July of 2012. Early in the evening they asked me for a 5 min. warning for any speeches and special dances. I told them I'd do my best but that I also had an important job which required me to stay near my equipment. As I turned the dance floor lights on for the first dance, the Solko's were clueless of the beginning of the dance, and as the bride and groom took the floor, they fumbled to get the video camera ready in time. Mrs. Solko then told me I was ruining their wedding because they weren't able to film the important events. I've been DJing for 4 years and have worked with hundreds of photographers who are aware/alert enough to know when to have the camera/video ready. As photographers, the Solko's should know that they are responsible for documenting the event, to pay enough attention, and to have their cameras ready at all times.
The Solko's were also in charge of the slide show. I was shocked to see that the slide show did not have built in music with it. Instead, they handed me a CD to play along with the slide show. So I guess if the bride and groom want to ever watch the slide show again they have to have a DVD and CD player going/starting at the same time. I find this completely unprofessional and lazy on the part of the Solko's.
My advice, go with someone else. Chances are very good that they will be far more competent than the Solko's.

We drove 5 hours to photograph and videotape this wedding for the daughter of a friend. The dj repeatedly started the events of the evening without warning after we asked him to please make a prior announcement so we could have our equipment in place. Video needs to be set up ahead of time and he evidently did not understand that. We were missing the first minute of every toast that was made, every dance and every event at the reception because he refused to cooperate with us. Photography equipment moves faster from one event to the next, but I guess he didn't have enough experience to understand that video takes longer to set up and you can't miss the first minute of anything. Our slide show has live segments added to the end of it so it is impossible to put the music on it ahead of time. The finished product that the bride and groom receive is completed. Interesting that he wouldn't put his name on the review.
