I lived on the other side of Auburn St, and down a few blocks. The city did some major street repairs, installed storm sewers, and sidewalks. For the most part its not too much different than it was when I grew up in the sixties and seventies. It is a bit rough towards Kilburn.

I grew up in this neighborhood. Does anybody remember the 1973 flood? I was just a kid, as were my siblings, and we all have slightly different recollections of what happened.

Hi Sheila, I remeber the flood my dog died in the high water. I lived on Arline Ave. Is this Sheila who is cousin to Debbie Warmoth. The flood was bad for some. I went back to Rockford about 6 years ago. My brother still lives there. Except he`s in MachesneyPark. write when u can. I would like to hear from everyone. I have been wondering about everyone from the neighborhood.
