Why are we not surprised at Big Abortion's abject terror over the prospect of women seeing ultrasounds of their babies?

Columnist Paul Kengor astutely notes where the pro-life battle is being won and will continue to be won:

"... Pro-lifers must devote more resources at worthy causes like placing ultrasound machines into crisis pregnancy centers. That window into the womb has proven the single most effective instrument in convincing young women not to proceed with abortion. When those women see that child, alive and real [ http://video.google.com/videoplay... #], it changes them more than any philosophical or legal argument. Indeed, it’s no surprise that the abortion lobby is scared to death of this technology—which, ironically, increases a women’s knowledge and empowers her “choice”—and will not support taxpayer dollars to subsidize it, even while pushing taxpayers to subsidize abortions."

IMO we are not surprised because pro aborts KNOW fully well that what they see in that ultrasound is a human baby, and they won't admit it terrifies them to see it and then kill it. It's sure a great new tool in the fight against abortion.

The Option Ultrasound program just made its 500th ultrasound grant: http://www.focusonthefamily.com/about_us/news...

Pro-lifers (and *honest* pro-aborts) know how effective ultrasounds are:

Kathleen Eaton, founder and CEO of Birth Choice Health Clinics in Southern California [ http://www.birthchoiceclinic.org/ ], writes:

" ... we are so grateful to Focus on the Family for their Option Ultrasound Program grants and training [ http://www.heartlink.org/pdf/DonorOUPUpdate.p... ]. With their help, we've been able to transform our pregnancy resource centers into fully licensed medical clinics, and the results are astounding. Demand for our services has grown from less than 1,000 visitors to more than 21,000 since we converted to four licensed medical clinics in 2006. We're set to open our sixth clinic in Los Angeles County in [January] 2010.

"Historically, only 30 percent of our abortion-minded women changed their minds. However, by introducing women to their babies through ultrasound, more than 72 percent choose life."

Roxana Voicu, director of the Clinica Pro Vita Centers in Bucharest, Romania, writes:

"In a culture of death, we have had the opportunity [with the ultrasound machine provided by Focus on the Family's Option Ultrasound program -- http://www.heartlink.org/pdf/DonorOUPUpdate.p... ] to let them see the life that is pulsing inside, the life of the unborn baby whose presence was already touched by God's hand and blessing. To see and hear the heartbeat of their baby is one of the most shocking and thrilling experiences for most of our clients, who originally came with the expectation of seeing a conglomerate of blood and tissue that they did not think was a human being.... Thank you for helping to change Romania!"

"Terrifies"? No, loser. Stop the melodrama - it's just silly. Oh, wait, so are you.
Our concern is that these feebs are providing medical services under unregulated conditions, usually with unlicensed zealot practitioners. We also object to the concept you PLM have that women don't know that abortion removes a human fetus from the uterus of a woman utilizing her rights.
You morons keep making up arguments that PC never makes. That is because you cannot refute our real concerns.

You've obviously been too busy plastering Topix posts (17,000+! Do pro-aborts do *anything* but pat each other on the back all day on Topix?) to have heard that pro-abort poobahs are ready to abandon the "pro-choice" moniker. It's as big a loser as pro-abortism is: in the legislatures, the courts, and court of public opinion.

[STOPP article] "A June 2010 Salon.com article quotes pro-abortion extremist Nancy Cohen, 2010 winner of a Planned Parenthood Maggie Award for online journalism. After analyzing the Gallup polls, Cohen declared that it is time to abandon the rhetoric of "pro-choice," arguing that voters/people inevitably identify with "life" over "choice." "[T]he antiabortion movement seems to be winning the framing war with its 'pro-life' label," she says, while implying that those polled really have not become more pro-life, but simply prefer the word "pro-life" over the word "pro-choice."

"Even if it weren't up against 'life,' the article continues, "-- the rhetorical rock that will always beat our scissors -'choice' has become, as Cohen writes,'inadequate to our actual policy preferences and to the philosophical values Americans hold on the subject of abortion. It essentially cedes the moral high ground to the antiabortion movement.'"

"It's an interesting concept that those who promote the unbridled killing of the most innocent among us would even entertain the concept of claiming the moral high ground. Planned Parenthood and its allies should realize by now that no amount of verbal gymnastics will make the exploitation of women and the killing of innocent children morally acceptable."

We know why pro-aborts object so much: the truth hurts. And Big Abortion has never been one to give women an informed choice about who's in their wombs.

http://www.theunionleader.com/article.aspx...

"...In testimony before the Louisiana Senate Health and Welfare Committee, post-abortive women recounted being told they were ridding themselves of "tissue" only to learn later, often during an ultrasound with a subsequent pregnancy, that they had destroyed a fully formed fetus. Based on my own conversations with post-abortive women, this is a common event and is often the point at which formerly pro-choice women switch sides."

"The testimony in Louisiana included the story of one woman who suffered both physical and emotional trauma after an abortion. She didn't see an ultrasound, but did see the remnants of her abortion on a tray beside her and was told "they" had been twins.

"... Shouldn't pregnant women also know what their healthy fetus looks like before they hit delete?

"This is a question lacking in sinister intent. What is sinister is the proposition that ignorance is better -- and the implied hope that women won't choose to reconsider.

The pro-life movement will win because science and technology unequivocally show that the unborn in uterus is a human being. The pro-aborts will have a hard time hiding the facts as the technology advances; they will eventually be considered the scum of society.

And don't think they don't know it.

More good news: Abortion employees/supporters admit and bemoan the dearth of death-dealing "doctors."

**Abortion clinic says "a lot of doctors aren't pro-choice" --
&fe ature=player_embedded

Live Action investigator: "Why do you [Kentucky] have only one [abortion clinic]?"

Abortion "counselor" [EMW Women's Surgical Center, Louisville, Kentucky]: "Just, you know most doctors don't want to do it."

Live Action investigator: "Why not?"

Abortion "counselor": "Well 'cuz a lot of doctors don't, aren't pro-choice. So it's very hard to find a doctor, you know, that will do abortions. You know, mean--just, a lot of doctors, you know, don't, they're not pro-choice, they don't believe in it, and so they don't do the procedure, and they don't have to."

** RH [Reproductive Health] Reality Check's Amanda Marcotte:“...after all, the past decade was a pretty bleak one. The pro-choice movement didn’t advance the ball down the field, and even our defensive maneuvers didn’t work so well at times."

“The average age of an abortion provider in this country is soaring upwards, and many doctors who deserve to retire and spend their days playing golf stay in the business because there’s so many women who need abortions and so few people to provide them,” wrote Marcotte.

Most doctors loathe abortion because they take the [original] Hippocratic Oath seriously: "...I will follow that system of regimen which, according to my ability and judgment, I consider for the benefit of my patients, and abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous. I will give no deadly medicine to any one if asked, nor suggest any such counsel; and in like manner I will not give to a woman a pessary to produce abortion. With purity and with holiness I will pass my life and practice my Art."

Doctors with functioning consciences know that abortion is not health care because killing isn't healing.

Sixteen year old Mother's are seen getting abortions on national TV. Legal abortion is going nowhere. It is normalized. Most medical insurance pays for abortion. I know Aetna does. Women are entitled to privacy. Medical procedures are private under HIPAA laws. You are preaching to the choir. Nobody else gives a chit.

If abortion is made illegal, women will get abortions anyway and die in droves of sepsis and blood loss. That is what happened last time abortion was made illegal. We did not have the medical reporting system then that we do now. We won't be guessing. We will know how many women bleed to death.

Criminalization of abortion will never happen again in America. We have the example of other countries that shoot street children as a matter of course to contemplate as well. That is how cheap life is when overpopulation occurs.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/ameri...

Leave women alone. We can be trusted to run our own lives and we have a right to privacy.

Criminalization has been tried and did not work. Abusing and demeaning women who get abortions won't work either, although Antis seem unable to stop doing it. One in every three women has had an abortion. And they vote.

Nope. It is called practicing medicine without a license and it is a crime. FetusSniffers are obsessed and always contemplating doing illegal and even criminal acts to women and other people. The government is waking to the fact that you do not hold the moral high ground and you are all nuts and dangerous. Won't be long now until they swoop down and decimate the antichoice thugs.

You want me. I don't know what you want me for, but that you want me is undeniable. Quit fantasizing about my genitals. I am not interested in you. And your fantasies about sex indicate you are not very sexual anyway. So what do you do to get off, besides chasing old ladies about message boards? Something exotic, I wager.

I am not projecting. You provide the evidence in every post. You want me. You chase me about in spite of requests to bugger off. You have detailed fantasies about my genitals and my children and my life. You are making a pluperfect fool out of yourself. Carry on. I must say, I am enjoying this immensely.

I know I am powerful. And your posts tell me you are not and have no idea how to be as effective as I am. I guess if you are going to chase me around, you will by osmosis discover how I do it. And that is good because clearly you need help. Your people skills are nonexistent. As are your skills at argument.

I don't understand why you'd think F-ing might not result in it. The CHOICE is whether or not you screw. I'm not against screwing for pleasure per se but, I also know that screwing for pleasure is the same as screwing to make a baby, and that just might be what I get. And if I do, then I will deal with it in the most RESPONSIBLE way possible, not the selfishly most convenient.
