affectionectly called SKABBS in my house, I cant help but wonder if hospitals routenly take money from the mouths of a family, in order to support their over paid doctors and pay for unneccessary building. I spent one day in the hospital there, and the bill was 20 grand, which is taken each week from my paycheck. bad thing, is that they take more than allowed by law, but taney county is a big shitty hole in sw missouri. surely, skaggs could take a family in debt, and use their bill as a tax writeoff? but instead, they use your poor health, which they do nothing to cure, as a way to hold You in debt, and under their feet.

Today, I spent some time, actually, a lot of time, at Skaggs. Simple thing, tick bite on My daughters leg. Ok, so it was 7:30 pm, took till 9:45 to get into the back for exam. Doctor finally comes in to see her about 10. good, not long there. Then it was another TWO HOURS before anone else came back to let Us know what how or who. 1 little pill and we were out of there. almost a total of 4 and a half hous to be sent off, no test, nothing but a freaking pill. WTF?? can two doctors not take a bit of time to get the nurses going, or should that be a matter of administration? All I know is, next time, I can wait till the St. Johns clinic opens the next day, or drive up to COX in Springfield. Wasted time not again to be seen.

Skaggs is the perfect example of poor service, doctors that drift in and out of town, and prices higher than hell. You can go to the ER and wait until you die of old age, and come out not knowing any more than when you went in. Unfortunately all the doctors in Branson are employeed by Skaggs except maybe two or three. They are still independent. You can damn well bet I go to one of them, and not a Skaggs person. Their ER has always been a source of problems for everyone. They apparently can't schedule their time, or don't have anyone in charge that can keep the flow going. You are correct in going north to Cox or St. Johns. I've always said I would rather die in the back of a pickup truck on the way to Springfield as to be misdiagnosed at Skaggs and die there.

By the way, go to Missouri case.net website, which is a Missouri Courts website when the page comes up, click on the "name" and enter Skaggs and look at the lawsuits. You will see they have had more than one wrongful death lawsuit, you will see who the doctors were and how much was paid for a wrongful death. This site is for real, its the Missouri Courts system. You can research any person or company there you want. If you can't locate the site Google "Missouri case.net " and you will find it. Everyone should read it, then you can draw your own conclusions.

I found a nice White woman at Skaggs. She cooks and cleans for me, just like a nice white slave. I even share my white woman with my fishing buddies. Love Branson

The people at Skaggs hospital really freaked me out when I was on vacation just this past June.I took my grandson there and we were there all day. That was not why I was so upset .The idot nurse`s could not do anything right.I seen the commercial about Skaggs Urgent Care on TV and I thought this looks like a great place.Thank God I had insurance. My grandson was just not his playful self,so we brought him there. They ran test for just about everything in the book and it took 3 differant nurse`s to find a vein in his arm. Then we see the doctor and asked her what was wrong .He has a bacterial infection. Will give him some antibotics.DAH Then to top itoff, she saids Sometimes childhood CANCER could be checked out,you never know? And she said this right in front of my grandson .He`s only six,he did`nt know anything. He`s fine and healthy and I`m grateful. We were on vacation and it was our third day on vacation and we were there in Branson for two weeks. You ca`nt imagine what was going on in our heads the rest of our trip.We wo`nt go back to Skaggs.

I also was rooked by Shaggs E.R. and Dr. Tribbey. 1 1/2 wait in the E. R. only to be told by the Orthopedic doctor (Tribbey) on call that he could do nothing for my fractured humus bone which was protruding through my skin on my shoulder front( a $315.00 bill). Sent me hiome with an arm restraint which required 3 people to figure out how to place it on my body. E.R. bill $914.00. Sent me to Dr. Huffman the next morning, my opinion, write him off as a loser. Ended up in St johns 2 weeks later for surgery and wonderful care. My estimation, one would be better off going to the Vet clinic, at least they care.

Yet anoother life that sould have been save but the J.A. at ER did not see a heart mummer I asked for a heart sspec. they didn't want to call them in on the weekend My dad died on the way to Cox We told them of his condition and gave them His home town DR. emerg.# they wouldn't even call him to find out his problems or ask what he would like them to try This ER should be shut down fast Better yet Why dosn't Cox build a #1 ratede hospital there or Hollister That would run Skaggs into the ground

Went to the emergency room in June while on vacation in Branson. I had a knot come on my leg and the pain was severe. It got to be the size of a large egg. I was worried about a blood clot. They did do a doppler on my leg but could not tell me why the knot was there. The doctor just said take some pain pills, and yes you do have a big knot. I knew I had a big knot with pain but still doctor could not tell me what was wrong. I got a bill for over $250.00. I still have the knot. They were more concerned if I smoked or not, which had nothing to do with the large knot on my leg and the severe pain.

No St. John's for me. They don't take my insurance. I've been to Skaggs ER twice. Once for myself and once for my husband. We both received good treatment, and correct diagnosis. Maybe it just depends who's on duty at any given time.

Carolyn in Indiana, YES there are scorpions here, and brown recluse spiders. My wife was bitten by one years ago and almost lost a leg. Still have a deep scar from the bite. So if you think you have been bitten by one go to the Doctor.
