Raise the taxes and airport fees on AirTran. Thats got to work.

Find a plane that makes this profitable. You'll be missing out once the economy picks up. Stick to the mission, we need you.

Last I checked, despite the efforts of the White House, we do still operate in a Free Market Economy. If a business finds a particular product non-profitable, it has the right not to carry it any longer. Passing a resolution by a governing body to attempt to intimidate a business into carrying such a product is wrong. It would be no different than passing such a resolution to force a department store to carry Armani Suits because a very small percentage of the population MIGHT purchase one. Leave AirTran alone. Supply and Demand will dictate need for products and price not government resolutions.

These are all strong and valid points. But the loss of the flight into Atlanta is BIG. Hopefully they will come to an amicable agreement for our community.

Good luck...Quad city airport has some of the highest fees in the country...it exceeds La Guardia. Nice airport but too many extras. If you want to keep Airtran, cut your fees and rent by 75%.

As a person that flies AirTran from Atlanta to Moline every 3 weeks, this is disturbing. Every flight that I have been on (and at different times), are 97 - 100% full.
Next year, there is a major US Army Command coming to Rock Island Arsenal and a majority of folks relocating to IL are leaving their family members back in Atlanta- this will affect them too!
Someone's got to give to keep these flights going! Why don't they look at eliminating one of the flights, but still have two available?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed! The Delta flights are almost double.. last I checked,$333 RT.
