Review: Amber Buffet & Hibachi

My family and I went to visit Ambers today. The food was very delicious and there was a wide variety of foods. The atmosphere was extremely calming and my entire family enjoyed the dinner. Being that I'm a food/restaurant skeptic, everything has to be A+ for me to approve. I will definitly be returning.

If the price that they charged was crazy, then post it and let others decide if it is "Crazy". Funny that somebody can put a good review and people think it has to be fake. I heard from a couple of people, especially Sushi lovers, that it was really good and puts Toyos to shame.
But I guess I must own the place too :)

I had dinner at the Amber Buffet & Hibachi Grill and found the buffet price ($16.95) overpriced. The food was average at best. Most of the food was not very hot and some of it was obviously over-cooked. The service was an area that they could have made up for some of the short-comings, but failed to do so. Tea glasses were only filled after being emptied and placed to the outside of the table. I must say that they were quick to pick up dirty plates and etc. If the staff had only been as good at refilling drinks and attention to guests. I would not recommend it as is today. Hopefully they will improve and adjust the pricing. The decor is definitely unique for Rock Hill, but it should have some screens dividing the dining room from the entrance area.
There are definitely other Asian restaurants in Rock Hill with better pricing, quality food and definitely better service. Just for the record, I don't own the place.

I think Amber buffet & hibachi is a great restaurant. The price is good, because a lot of good food. I think much better then Tin Tin buffet

I personally like this place a lot, even the dinner is a little bit expensive than Royal buffet, but they have great food quality and large varity of sushi selection.

I really think Amber is the best asian restaurant in Rock hill, we need a place like this in Rock Hill, so i dont have to drive to Tin Tin to eat buffet. The food is great and the service is good. I been there twice already, they have a lot of sushi at night, and the cheese cake is amazing.

Thought the place was nice, clean, and friendly- However, some of the servers dont know much English, and for the price, it should include a Massage AND a "Happy Ending"...Wow!- this is Rock Hill, not Charlotte...I probably would go back if it were in my "budget", but definately not at the current rates...(Don't they KNOW we are in a struggling economy??) And to come out of the gate with these prices will only scare folks around here away.

I am here right now and I must say my server is more than attentive. The food is very good for a 16.95 buffet. They don't have large portions out on the buffet line which ensures the food is nice and freshly cooked. I did find that the croutons were stale but everything else was very tasty!

Took the family there for a special birthday night out. EXCELLENT in every way. So nice to not have to drive to Charlotte to get such a unique dining experience. Everything was pristine and there was so much attention to detail on the buffet line. Service was excellent and everyone was so friendly!

We loved it. The atmosphere was awesome. There was a large variety of foods on the buffet, and everything tasted great. The staff were all very friendly and the service was great! We liked it much better than Tin Tin. We will definitely be going back!

We also love Ambers. Our son and daughter in law took us there while we were in town and I cannot wait to go back. Great sushi and lots of other great foods on the buffet. I loved everything I tried and I tried a lot of different items since it was our first time there. Price is not unusual for a buffet with all the goodies they have.

We ate dinner there and the price is a little high. Should be around $12.95. Lunch price is good. Food and service is excellent and place is very very clean. I hope they can make it in Rock Hill, Sc. Please adjust your night time price. A lot more people will come then.

Me and my wife just got back from amber, it only costed $7.50 per person. my wife especially loved it for its all you can eat sushi bar. amber is a great place to do lunch, just make sure you get there for lunch to get the great price.

I love Amber. We only go at lunch time because it is more affordable at lunch and they still put out TONS of sushi and raw oysters and the buffet is awesome. The price is a bit high, but look at getting all you can eat sushi and oysters and see if you can get it cheaper anywhere else.
Love the atmosphere - fancy cloth napkins, nice silverware. Wait staff has always been awesome with us and we have eaten there 4 or 5 times now. Our familiy's new fav restaurant in Rock Hill for sure!

I love Amber Buffet and Hibachi. Have eaten at the place since they opened and they have improved since then. Good food, great service, and great atmosphere. I think their lunch price is affordable for anyone, and the dinner price is pretty reasonable for the kind of food they have. After all, the dinner weekends that cost $16.95 includes, all-you-can-eat buffet, sushi, crab legs, oysters, sashimi, and many more. As a skeptic for buffet sushis, they actually have good sushi.
Amber is also about $2-3 cheaper than Tin Tin, and has a lot better quality of food than Royal Buffet.

Amber Buffet was awesome. Went their with my wife today. They actually have the highest sanitary rating in Rock Hill, SC which is difficult for a buffet. The owner is great and will make sure that you enjoy your food. He is also a Christian and he seems to run this very well!

Well i will be visiting Amber Buffet on 2/5/11 and really hope that i enjoy every bite.Im gonna really hate to pay 17.00 and not enjoy it.I like Happy Garden buffet,but they need a bigger selection and i really dont care for Royal Buffet,so i really hope Amber is gonna be great,im very picky when it comes down to spending money on food
