I'm voting "no" for two reasons. The first one is that the amendment requires that special election which will cost millions for us to put a piece of paper in a slot -- millions this state sure doesn't have. The second is that the impeachment process already in the Constitution worked fine. This amendment is just a knee-jerk reaction to what the last Ryan and Blago did. Ryan paid for his crime -- he's in jail and he and his wife no longer get his pension. Blago has paid in many ways, but I think there is more to come for him.

But If we don't hold the real life government accountable to the principles we dedicate our lives to teaching kids in school, then what was the point? Nobody is perfect. But if we don't have ways of correcting bad behavior we might as well merge psychology and political science into the same curriculum. That would increase class sizes but save money. And we are the only country in the world strong enough to print as much money as it takes.

While term limits sound like a good idea on the surface, it doesn't always have the effect we're looking for. We may be able to change pol players every 4-6 yrs., however, career lobbyists remain indefinitely--and THEY, are the *real* problem. I'll be voting NO on the amendment, the revision would be too costly to implement (special elections), is subject to partisan games and the assembly is already authorized to impeach. Why burden us with more costs?

I am voting yes On the Illinois Recall Amendment. It is about time that they let Citizens have the right to vote instead of them telling how it is going to be. We the Citizens have had a lot taken away from us and their was nothing we could do about is. Now we do. I WILL DEFINITELE VOTE YES!

yes your right to be a good politician you need to know how to kiss babys and when there walking away with parents take there candy. If you ask me there all a bunch of crooks they all need to go and as for Quinn he is just a jerk and dont have a clue. I just wonder why the USA has to help every body else that has a disaster and we cant even balance out own budget. And as for the state of Illinois we are one of the highest taxed states in the union and what do we have to show for it a gov that gives his staff payraises and then has the balls to ask the people for a income tax raise that just goes to show you he is a a$$ hole. Oh well enough said people remember Nov 2 and lets get these jeaks out of office its our time to speak.

Recall mechanisms should be in place for ANY elected official in State, Municipal or County governing bodies.

We don't need to “reinvent the wheel” so to speak. Just fine tune the spokes. The sad thing about all of this is we the people helped to vote these crooks in. We fell for their garbage (on both sides) and are seriously paying the price.

You may be right concerned. Vote these jerks out and put NEW JERKS in their place. Republican jerks or democrat jerks, just which ever is on your ticket. Maybe we have too many "jerks" voting. It takes a real smart person to vote a straight ticket. All the good guys are always on the same ticket. Won't that be the day?

Hey 'my opinion'. You can run for an office you know. Maybe you could do your best to help your community and have people like you just consider you corrupt. But wait, you are probly one of those standup americans that complain about politics, but do nothing.

Who cares anymore? Illinois is destroyed and beyond repair. Overflowing with twisted bureaucrats, overrun by selfish, vicious snobs that don't care or like anyone but themselves, only about enough friendly and helping people to fill a Boeing 737 and that portion is rapidly shrinking, every year more nice people have had it with Illinois and move out and are replaced by even more selfish, rich, and stuck up snobs. There is no hope left for Illinois, people. America is shifting it's populations and it just so happens that three quarters of America's snobby and stuck up population is pouring into Illinois, and all the nice people that are left in Illinois are pouring out of Illinois in droves.
