A Rochester woman accused of participating in a scheme to illegally obtain and fill Oxycotin prescriptions has plead guilty according to Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman. According to investigators Anestacia Wilson filled fraudulent prescriptions at several Monroe County pharmacies. She also used a Medicaid benefits card for payment. The Attorney General's office says this resulted in $2,000 in theft to Medicaid. "Obtaining prescriptions under false pretenses and defrauding Medicaid is a serious offense that our office prosecutes far too often," said Schneiderman in a statement. "We'll continue our battle against the scourge of prescription drug abuse in New York State, and send a clear message that those who break the law will be held accountable."
