Those living in Detroit know that an entitlement society is unsustainable. America is about to crash and burn. Chicago is almost bankrupt and Illinois will go with it. You can not support people that do not work. Welfare is not the solution to poverty and poor education but the cause. America will soon crash and burn. Soon all of America will be like Detroit.

Unfortunately, America has become a welfare state. We are over extended, and can no longer sustain it (in fact, it's 20 years overdue). People expect to be payed for watching TV and hanging out on the porch in warm weather. It has to stop, or temporarily be turned way down.

"Today, welfare dependency has become a way of life in the once-proud Motor City.

Roughly one-third of Detroit's 140 square miles is either vacant or derelict. There are approximately 78,000 abandoned homes in the city and local realtors offer houses for $1 and still find no takers.

A horrifying 47% of Detroit residents are functionally illiterate. Less than half of Detroit residents over the age of 16 are working. And 60% of all children in the city live in poverty.

That's the bottom line on the "Model Welfare City" - where the same robber-baron Political Class has been in power for nearly 40 years.

Editor's Note: This is exactly what Washington wants. An illiterate, lazy populace, that's easily manipulated. Don't settle for that. Go here to see how you can fight back.

Crime has gotten so bad in Detroit even the police are telling people to "enter Detroit at your own risk."

Soon it will be enter America at your own risk. On nation with no God and no future. How many hundreds of blacks and minorities do not attend RCSD now every day? No one cares. The government will care for you attitude. When the welfare stops and America crashes watch out.

It's poised to happen fairly quickly. We are out of money, but thousands of Rochester welfare recipients are clamoring for more, and have learned how to game the system.

No one handing out the cash seems to care. I do. I don't want to subsidize someone else that doesn't want to help themselves -- or wants to all expenses paid permanent vacation.

I enjoy going to Wall-Mart on the first of the month to see all the EBT cards being used by single mothers with 6 kids and full baskets of steaks, grape pop, grape flavored water, candy bars, beer, ice cream, Hostess HO HO's, potato chips and Twinkies. No wonder we have child diabetes. Its nice to see all the lazy poor folks eating better then me and not starving. Education? Why get one and go in debt? Why graduate from HS. Just be able to locate social services on West Fall Road. That's it. That were you get your money for life.
