NYS tax dollars at work!
Not being able to pay the taxes is the cause of most businesses closing in NY.

Many of these mom & pop restaurants are past due on taxes and water bills and suppliers. Frequently there are tax breaks and grants to many of these places just to have the owners skim that off and dump the place.Easy to look-up on the city & county websites. Example:

The prices in this resturant were sky high. You could eat for less at the other 30 reasturants on Jefferson road. A Greek diner like Jays would have made it in this spot if the prices were fair. Greed kills most resturants. Red Lobster is now on the same path. Mike’s Diner on Winton Road was also way overpriced. You got no food for your money. People come in try it out and nerver come back. They also tell friends its a rip off. They could not pay their bills cause they had no customers. They lot was always empty

The Greek owner got caught money laundering and a few other white collar crimes. He also owns pixels restaurant building and part owner of rookies bar. Look up story on rochester business journal
