Rochester police believe a robbery led to a shooting on the city's west side early Saturday morning.

Police say a 26-year-old man was walking on Flint Street near Costello Park just after 2 a.m. when another man approached him and demanded property. The suspect then shot the man in the lower torso.

He was taken to Strong Hospital with what are considered to be minor injuries.

Police say the suspect is black between 5'7" and 5'10" and was wearing a blue hoodie and a mask.

The investigation is continuing.

He stole his pants. I'm serious. He took his pants and then shot him. Nice.
