In less than 12 hours, Rochester Police have made an arrest in the City’s latest homicide.
Police tell News10NBC 23-year-old Jarrell Dwayne Riley of Rochester shot 27-year-old Marcus Griffin, also of Rochester, Sunday night on Central Park. Griffin suffered a fatal gunshot wound to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Riley is charged with second-degree murder.
Great work RPD.
Arrests made in 16 out of 17 murders (so far)
16 out of 17 victims black.
Everyone arrested for murder so far is black.
Do we see a patern here?

Violence in Rochester needs to be addressed by more than just the RPD.
Only 4% US communities have a higher violence rate than Rochester.
Rochester has a higher violence rate, more than New York City or Brooklyn NY.

I wonder how the RPD murder arrest rate stacks up against Buffalo and Saracuse? Must be fun to be a homicide detective always on the hunt.
