Rochester, NY--Rochester resident Norma De Vincentis takes great pride in the grave sites of her loved ones.
"I come every spring and put in all kinds of flowers," De Vincentis said.
That's what the 83-year-old had been doing at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester on Monday when she says her purse was stolen from her car.
She had been just feet away from her car and decided to leave it unlocked.
Norma was devastated.
"It's like somebody took your life," she explained. "Everything is contained in your purse. Women don't think about it but everything's contained in your purse."
Property managers say each of the main entrances at the cemetery are monitored by surveillance cameras. They are in the process of going over Monday's footage to see if they spot anything suspicious.
According to Rochester Police, Holy Sepulchre has had three larceny reports in the last four months.
The department doesn't want to create unnecessary panic.
But hopes this case serves as a warning to anyone out and about, away from their belongings.
"We just remind people to be aware of their surroundings when they get out of their vehicle, and when they are away from their vehicles to keep them locked at all times," Rochester Police Officer Jason Blanchard advised.
"Even when I get gas I lock my car. But, this time I didn't and I learned the hard way," De Vincentis added.

Rhonda,
Usually I enjoy your jibberish and polite rants.
You get under the skin of many, itch a few and resemble a nasty rash most days.
But, when you start getting on dead veterans, it's about time I told you what a scu**bag, P888e of S***, as&*$e you really are.
These men and women died in the belief that the cause they were fighting for was worth their lives, to defend even you.
As ignorant, lazy and pathetic as you have become, this IS a new low, even for you.
Here's hoping some moderator figures out how to PERMANENTLY ban your IP address.
No love for you,

They fought so people in american can keep their jobs with the military industrial complex!

They fought to keep the american dollar as the international currency so we can pay off our massive debt that we use to spy on our own citizens!!

Here's the deal my man. It is true that by and large most American military operations are unjust and in no other interest other than money, greed, and government interest. Not in the interest of liberty or the people. These are the desires of rogue military, government, and corporate snakes and leaches. That said, the average enlisted person is little more than a lied to citizen who in the belief of protecting his people and country, signs up to selflessly defend his/her peoples freedom. It is not the intention of these people to engage in unwarranted battle.Their service is to the people and they deserve our respect and thanks. They deserve even more respect for the fact that for trying to serve the people, they were railroaded and sacrificed by immoral leaders who care little about them our the people they wanted to defend. When someone enlists, they do so for the people.Sadly it is not until it is to late that many of them realize how and what for the corrupt leadership is using their service for.It is a very very sad story indeed.

Besides HaHa, are you not a contractor in Iraq? Does that not make you part of this same military-industrial complex? Are you not profiting of this war as well?

I never claimed to be new. I have been around for a few months. I also have clearly stated I have visited this sight many times in the distant past.
If you have been around for a while you would know my opinion of police and it is not a very positive one.For the record I will repeat it.
There are two groups of people who make up the vast majority of police officers.
1)Those who were meathead bullies in school and youth who like positions of power over people. They seek these positions out so they can have validation of their behavior and continue to bully people.
2)Those who were bullied in school and youth who seek out positions of power so they can now bully others. In an attempt to vindicate themselves and reap a revenge. They do so to give themselves a sense of power to counter the powerlessness they felt in early years of life.
Both are dangerous. One is psychopathic and and the other is sociopathic.
