It's a sure bet you'll find hot dogs on grills throughout the area this weekend and here in Rochester, Zweigle's hots are a tradition and today they gave our cameras a tour of their Plymouth Avenue plant just days before their biggest holiday.

Have any of you actually SEEN what goes into a "Hot Dog"? I bet you wouldn't want to eat any more once you find out. Zweigles no exception.

Like chicken nuggets----I wouldn't want to see what they put into those chicken nuggets. I am not worried about a hot dog. Its all a myth.

my family has been eating them for years but we have noticed thy not as good as thy used to be. i think thy are cutting corners , we are still bying them but trying outher brands to see how thay are

I lived in Florida and took a few extra packs down and gave them to people I worked with, these coworkes were from Long Island and New Jersey.

They came in and asked where I got them because they liked them so much, even the White Hots in the same Package.(pop opens)

I guess that said volumns. I did tell them you could get them online, I also think there was a place in Miami that sold them also...

If it's not a zweigles it isn't worth eating. I have had to take them with me to PA for my sister until recently when the Wegmans down there started carrying them. They are the best and the only ones my family and I will eat. I don't want to know what's in them!!!

I have in fact and haven't eaten one since 1993...the thought of it makes my stomach turn.

I knew someone who worked there whose job was wiping off the "use by" dates.
Now I have to ask, why would that be?
Possibly to put newer dates on the packages?
You gotta wonder.
