Two men are in Livingston County Jail and a third is jailed in Monroe County in connection with a home invasion robbery that occurred Saturday afternoon in the Town of Springwater.
Alan J. Fick, 36, of Rochester, and Kyle A. Witthoft, 21, of Gang Mills, Steuben County, were charged today with first degree robbery. They were arraigned in Springwater Town Court and remanded to Livingston County Jail on $125,000 bail, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
A third suspect, Joseph M. Macuado, 23, of Rochester, is in Monroe County Jail on an unrelated robbery charge. A warrant has been issued in the Springwater case, charging Macuado with first-degree robbery, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The charges stem from an investigation that stretched from Steuben to Monroe counties following a May 11 home invasion on Morris Road in Springwater. Three male suspects allegedly entered the home about 1:45 p.m. and robbed a 70-year-old male resident. The resident was threatened, but did not suffer physical injuries, according to Livingston County Undersheriff James Szczesniak.
