If this lack of payment on property and school tax issue was on a private home in Irondequoit, it wouldve been confiscated by the town years ago.

Congel is milking it, he has no plans to renovate or build anything in there.

Scotty is waiting for the okay to build a Casino, don't you know. Selling this bill of crap was exactly what he tried to pull in Niagara Falls some years ago. But the County or Irondequoit never check with NF City govt. about him. Now they hope he's going to jump when the city or county apply pressure. My prediction will be he will give a half-hearted effort to comply to STONEWALL.

He has done it on other properties before. He uses properties like the Medley Center for tax write offs while the home owners and the town gets the shaft. These small town officials think they know everything about running a company, all about how the financial system while they know little to nothing and a shark like Congel will play them like fools they are. They didn't bother to do a full background check on this company and took the "shark" at his word, how did that work out for Irondequoit??

He has outwitted the town at every impasse. Like him or not, he's running the show.

Congel is a effin crook and thief. The town of Irond. should have gotten him out of that property long ago. I agree with everyone here, he isn't going to build shit on it. The town of Irond. are so gullible they will believe anything he says. They have no backbone. I thought it would different with the new super. He has waited too long already. Kick his fat ass to the curb and get on with it. Put a park or a ball park there if no one wants it!

Or maybe a coliseum... we could hold the 'hood war games there. But no casino. It would trash the area, and the shootings would end up there.

Scotty boy is stonewalling and the town officials are seeing dollar signs. Town officials including the County, Maggi, thinks that applying pressure this huge project will get off the dime. NOT SO. There is no one waiting in the background to come in and develop the Medley Mall. In the meantime guess who is getting screwed as this drags on?-- the taxpayers. This is a shell game.

They should level the mall, tear up the parking lots and make it a park. It serves no useful business purpose, and needs to be razed.

The Irondequoit officials want tax revenue. A city park is a liability.

it would be an Irondequoit park, and could be used as a central marketplace for drugs, stolen goods and prostitution. They could have a Medical Examiner substation on the grounds, to mop up the occasional homicide.

Why don't they just turn it into a shopping mall with lots of defferent stores?

Medley is too close to Greece Ridge Mall, a much bigger Mall. Women shoppers don't feel safe.
Low income housing near-by. Demographics are wrong for a Mall.

I believe the DiamondDaisy comment was a joke, in keeping with the ridiculous and clueless comments she always makes. It was funny.
