Your tile is very misleading. But yes, gas is rising like crazy. It stays up more than it stays down.

Why are you complaining? Especially about cost of housing up. You are comfortably retired, remember? Are you struggling? Do you need a roomate to help with the bills? Don't burn so much electricity, and your gas and electric bill won't be so high. Cost of housing is high, I agree. But people who get assistance and food stamps can't afford the cost of housing, so don't go knocking them. Not everyone "abuses the system." I work with a lot of people who are less fortunate, and trust me, many of them are trying to get on their feet.
Well said by a socilist. If you knew anything about the stocks and investments you would know that housing, gas, electric, food, ect always plays into them.Anyone that is retired only get a set amount from their pension, they don't have the taxpayers giving them raises every year Steve. So what was your progressive/socilist point again??

"I know everything about stocks",gee, maybe we should meet so you can give me and my broker some points,he and I have only been "playing" the market for 35+ years.I am glad that you weren't ticked by being called a socilist, most true Americans sure as heck would be tho.

The cost of everything is going up because the amount of money being printed is also increasing ... they are watering down the money supply.

Inflating the currency is KILLING retired people.

When you plan your retirement, you plan an income you think you can live on in your retirement years ... you spend 20 to 30 years building up a nest egg which allows you to live on the interest mof that nest egg.

When the FED starts inceasing the money supply faster than the average rate of inflation ... the amount of money you were hoping live off doesn'f go as far as you had planned for.

In other words, the FED is stealing your retirement money right out of the bank.
