An Arizona man who used his dead mother’s identity for 23 years to steal $100,000 from the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System is going to prison.
Raymond O’Dell, 70, was sentenced to a year in prison on Thursday and ordered to pay $102,488 in restitution by Franklin County Common Pleas Judge David E. Cain. He was found guilty on charges of theft, identity fraud and tampering with records.

Harper worked at the company from August 2008 to August 2012. As payroll supervisor, Mincks said, she gave herself unauthorized pay raises and exorbitant mileage reimbursements.
Investigators found that she would have had to drive 1.2 million miles for the mileage to be legitimate.
