THANK YOU! Many a Red Wing game was followed by a visit to Harry's with my grandfather. I can almost hear the waitress asking "Texas or Porker?".
Only wish I, or someone, had the recipe for Harry's "hot" sauce...not hot, not runny, just right!

Yeah, Smalline Drug Store on the corner of Ridge and Clinton many years ago. Hess Garage right behind Smalline. Mr Yitsis was a nice guy.

As a kid living in the 10th ward in the 60's my Dad would take me to Harry's to pick up dinner for the family. While there, he would have a couple of "hots" while we waited. He would order them with extra hot sause.
It wasn't until my late teenage and college years that Harry's became our last stop after a night of partying at various clubs.
The hot sause on the hots and the bitter coffee were like coming home.
It is one of my most favorite memories of that time

Yeah, that place used to rock. Then I think it became Uncle Danny's? Which moved over next to Schallers infront of the old Bally's Health Club. The old location still looks in good shape outside and in, just limited parking.
I don't care for Bill Gray's hot sauce anymore. Still think Schaller's is good. But Nick's and Irondequoit Hots are better.

The LDR Char-Pit and the Char-Broil up on the Lake. Dogtown on Monroe Ave is good too. But I remember doing Dine-n-Ditch at Harry's once with a group of drunk buddies. Felt bad, the next week got the same waitress and left her a really huge tip. She was so ditzy she didn't remember me from week b4.
