Windows 8 is terrible, would not recommend it to anyone. If at all possible everyone should wait until they come out with a new version fixing all the damage they have done with window 8
Don't buy a new computer unless you absolutely have to.

Once you bend your new computer to look like Windows7, it isn't to bad. Restoring the Start Button goes a long way to make it civilized again on a desktop or laptop.

The Charms bar is obnoxious! When ever I try to click on any browser button to the top right side of the screen the bar pop open. Or if I try to use the scroll bar in a browser it opens that annoying charms bar, or like when we need to click on the little clock or calendar icon in our task bar, or even if you accidentally swipe too far to the right that obnoxious charms bar keeps appearing. Whats most irritating is that it sometimes doesn't open when you actually need to use it and you need to keep moving the cursor around to make it open. This just wastes our time in the end with all these extra clicks and swipes when with the old Start button we could make a few simple clicks with a minimum of swiping. Windows 8 has got to be the most immature irrational OS out there today. It's like Microsoft is overly hung up on this whole swiping deal because they think it looks cool when it actually just looks stupid. Between the horrible Operating Systems out there today and websites going Ad Mad I find I hardly use Facebook or Youtube or Google much anymore and on my home PC I regret even sticking with Windows. The place I work has switched back to Win 7 but our boss is 100% sure he's going to buy us all Macs next year but he needs to look at their OS to make sure it's not like Win 8 or that retarded Jelly Bean OS. I could spend 10 pages just ranting about the Charms bar alone and volumes of books ranting about everything else wrong with Win8. Got to say this OS is obnoxious and crazy. I know they wanted to change things up a bit but it's so immature you can't take it serious. Im so glad our boss switched us back to 7 and that by next year Windows is not allowed in our business again. I'm gonna see if I can hire someone to switch my new computer to Windows 7 and Im also 100% positive that when I do buy a new computer it will not be running Windows at all. I feel totally mind forked by Microsoft and screwed over.

Yeah, I hate those damn things too. After months of using 8 I'm finally starting to slightly tolerate that. The key is to keep your cursor out of the bottom corners. That is where they pop-up from. It's awful, but if you can dance your cursor around those twn corners they wont come up.

Windows 8 is by far the worst ever. I know several older people who have given up using computers,. I am totally annoyed, frustrated and find windows 8 very slow.
I didn't buy a new computer expecting all this aggravation and am still using my old computer for most important things.
Cant figure out how to add people to an address book in windows 8 mail yet.
Think this will be my last computer with Microsoft programing.
To be fair, Windows always kinda has sucked. People are just waking up with 8 a little more.

Do others find Windows 8 to be extremely slow? It sucks. I am so sorry I bought a new computer.
MS said they rewrote Vista's code to make Windows 8 much faster. Windows 8 is just a second generation Vista, which BTW was a real horror story when it was first release.

I run Windows 8.1 on a 6 core AMD CPU and it is as fast as the wind.

Here is a link to a Facebook page. Getting the word out and discussing the madness of Windows 8 is vital right now. I mean when a company as large as Microsoft goes Bat Shit Crazy you know something is wrong with society. ha ha

Just playing devils advocate here.
Did you ever consider that Microsoft is brilliant and devised the new silly and dumb down Windows 8 to cater to the silly and dumb down generations that are replacing the older ones?
I sometimes get the feeling it is a strategy to win over all these clowns who grew up on Xbox and social media, who just like irrational silly features. You know the types, they like flashy over functional. The metro tiles comes to mind when thinking of this.
