What does that have to do with anything I posted. The Democrats started a war and the Republicans ended it but what does that have to do with anything? You were the one saying how great the 60's and 70's were.

JFK you'd better do some fact checking.Better then half the men who died in Nam,died when Nixon, a republican was president. As a young man,who served in Nam,I remember Nixons' secret plan he said had to end the war during the 68 campaign.Too bad it took over 4 years and 1000s of dead soldiers,to make it work.As for the fannies impact on the recession, almost all economist say it had little to no impact on it.You had better check your facts. You have all ready proven your ignorance about the revenue the bush tax cuts produced. You seem to be a true partisan hack.Remember, anything you post is easily fact checked. As for gas prices,no president can have much impact on them. They were high under bush 2 also, when taking everything into consideration.

My argument was that you're a lying partisan hack - which you confirmed by admitting your HuffPo/Daily KOS/Obama/Debbie Wasserman Truth Squad propaganda line about Massachusetts’ ranking 47th in job growth under Romney is an intentional half-truth.
Where I come from, and the way I was brought up, we call a half-truth a lie.
You have clearly been raised to be more economical with the truth, and you seem to be ok with that.
Massachusetts’ state ranking for job growth went from 50th the year before Romney took office, to 28th in his final year.
Stellar performance.

Don't listenh to Walter Constantine of 27 Klas West Seneca, NY. Walter is a drunk and there's a picture of this fat 64 yr old foodstamp user and his fat ass wife Cindy.

Walter has a 34 yr old reatred kid he never sess because Topix is more important to him that the kid he abandoned Topix which he's not paying for. WE ARE.

Unemployment did go up to 10.2% during Obama's presidency.

HUFFINTON POST of all places.

WASHINGTON — Just when it was beginning to look a little better, the economy relapsed Friday with a return to double-digit unemployment for only the second time since World War II and warnings that next year will be even worse than previously thought.

The jobless rate rocketed to 10.2 percent in October 2009, the highest since early 1983, dealing a psychological blow to Americans as they prepare holiday shopping lists. It was another worse-than-expected report casting a shadow over the struggling recovery.

President Barack Obama called it "a sobering number that underscores the economic challenges that lie ahead." He signed a measure to extend unemployment benefits and to expand a tax credit for homebuyers.

Economists had not expected the 10 percent mark to come so quickly and immediately darkened their forecasts. Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Economy.com , and Joshua Shapiro, chief U.S. economist at MFR Inc., predicted the rate will peak at 11 percent by mid-2010. They earlier had projected 10.5 percent.

You know the job growth rate was at its lowest (-900,000) when obama took office, grew to -100,000 in his first year and has shot up to positive 100,000. It makes sense that it was that low because he had to stop the bleeding of jobs before he could add more. The bailout stopped the job loss and it is now improving. Hence why the unemployment rate is not 11% like moody predicted, its around 8%. so over the four years obama increased growth rate by over 100% and we are now positive. There was just a lot of damage from bush to fix...

Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.

Why can't those millionaires and billionaires pay their fair share. Yeah, the Buffet rule; and "I didn't get elected to take care of fat cat bankers".says the.... millionaire obama

Can you fool all the people all the time, if they are Americans?

The bailout STOPPED the job loss? Are you in some kind of Twilight Zone episode?

The job loss is still going on.....or that's right...job's saved?

When Ronald Reagan took office after Jimmy Carter's days...Reagan never blamed Carter for everything under the sun..he could have done that...but then again Reagan was a mature adult and Obama and his administration of idiots are still acting and blaming others like little kids do.
Obama has been President for 4 years now...time to grow up and take responsibilities for his failures.

If you would have taken some time and read what people on here were talking about you wouldn't be making such an ass of yourself.
First of all we were talking about the unemployment rate back in the 50s/60s/ 70s/ and 80s, NOT the 2000s
Fact is JFK said that we had double didgit unemployment back in the 70s becase HE remembered it, well the FACTs are we did NOT have any double didgit unemployment from 1948 till Sept. 1982 when it hit 10.1% the Highest we have had is 10.8% for Nov. and Dec 1982
In the 1970s the Highest was 9.0% and that was May of 1975
And as for your statement that it went to 10.2% under Obama you also should look up the facts.
By the labor dept. report shown here

http://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/data/UNR...
The Highest unemployment rate Obama has had is 10.0 in Oct. 2009
That still is lower than the Unemployment rate R.R. had in Nov and Dec 1982 of 10.8%.
Have a nice night

Wrong.

American soldiers were first put in harm's way and American treasure was first spent on fighting communists in Vietnam by Truman.

Here are some more FACTS you should have looked up before you posted:

May 1, 1950 — After the capture of Hainan Island from Chinese Nationalist forces by the Chinese People's Liberation Army, President Truman approves $10 million in military assistance for anti-communist efforts in Indochina.

The Defense Attache Office was established in Saigon in May 1950, a formal recognition of Viet Nam (vice French IndoChina). This was the beginning of formal US military personnel assignments in Viet Nam. US Naval, Army and Air Force personnel established their respective attaches at this time.

September 1950 - Truman sends the Military Assistance Advisory Group (MAAG) Indochina to Vietnam to assist the French. The President claimed they were not sent as combat troops, but to supervise the use of $10 million worth of US military equipment to support the French in their effort to fight the Viet Minh forces.

Following the outbreak of the Korean War, Truman announces "acceleration in the furnishing of military assistance to the forces of France and the Associated States in Indochina…" and sends 123 non-combat troops to help with supplies to fight against the communist Viet Minh.

1951 - Truman authorizes $150 million in French support.

Again if you are going to make statements like these maybe you should look up the facts and be able to back up what you say.
