NY State has defeated Amazon's lawsuit, to allow it to continue operating tax free - because it does not have a physical location within the state.

Too bad. With their low prices and fast delivery, plus a return policy that was great, it will now add a significant cost to doing business with them.

Screw New York.
I'll find other vendors to buy from.

I don't buy from any company that charges NYS sales tax on the InterNet. Too many companies out there that want your business and offer free shipping.

This really sucks. NYS is taxing people and businesses to leave the state. One more perk we lost.

This is what happens when you have a welfare state like NY,they need ever penny they can get to pay for entitlemts. The state will drive all the business out and than tax the rest of us so much we will leave. What are these liberal tax and spend democrats going to do when the taxpayers(makers) leave and they can't provide what they promised the "takers" to get their votes? It will happen sooner than people think and it won't be pretty.Just saying.

It takes more than prepping ...

If you start too early you come out looking like chris dohrner ... too late, and you are playing catch-up.

The real problem is that if any real American that stands up for their CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS will end up like the people at Ruby Ridge and Waco if the current White House had it's way. All in all I would rather die a free man than live in slaverly. Just saying.

This just sucks, because I have an account with Amazon. I don't use it a whole lot, but I hope it doesn't affect the fast delivery.

Unfortunately, Pigpen, every state is a welfare state, not just NY. Like they say, build a bridge and get over it!

Not for nothing, but you might want to check the goverment web sites about the percentage per population by state and their "entitlemt" programs and what the costs are.It might help you a little,I'll give you a little hint, the states with the highest number of people on welfare (% of pop.)are all blue states.Just saying.

They also got Overstock in the same lawsuit. I'll buy from companies that ignore NYS taxes, and fortunately most do. Is eBay next?

I must admit they do make it convenient and easy to do it.
I have a prime membership and it pays for itself. The tax issue though, I may have to do some new cipherin'.
