Police are crediting a witness who provided them with the license plate of a getaway car with helping them arrest two bank robbery suspects.
Armond Thompson, 32, of Buffalo, and Jason Simmons, 31, of Tonawanda face felony robbery and reckless endangerment charges.
Police say Thompson and Simmons held up the Citizens Bank branch on Hudson Avenue in Irondequoit Tuesday afternoon.
They say a witness working on a side street noticed a suspicious man that sped off in a waiting vehicle. The witness called 911 with the license plate number.
State Police spotted the car on Route 90 and gave chase.
Troopers say Thomson crashed in to the median near the Pembroke exit where he and Simmons were arrested.
Both men are being held in the Monroe County Jail.
Rochester has more than enough trash of it's own. Does not need to import trash from Buffalo.

They come to Rochester from Buffalo to Rob a Banks. The liberty pole must be sending out signals to attract them. After they rob banks here the spend the money in town. Great news for local businesses. Rochester is creating jobs gain.
