First, English please ... I can barely understand this reply.

Second, leaving a kid unattended in a car is the folly of the parent.
Any injury inflicted on the child or any property damage caused by the impending accident is the responsiblity of said parent.
That parent will have to pay for any damage or live with what ever injury their unattended kid will cause.

BUT ... making it against the law treads into the nanny state.
We don't need laws which anticipate all the stupid things people do.
Hell, Karma will take care of the really stupid ones.

It's like George Carlin said: " when we were little, we used to play with marbles. The stupid ones used to choke on the marbles and die. Now, the lawyers have banned marbles so the stupid kids can grow up to be lawyers."

You ust be a liberal Democrat!

Criminalizing stupidity doesn't make it go away.
It just empowers our police state to micromanage our lives.

If YOU think that adding a law will stop this type thing from ever happening again ... then YOU are the one who is nuts!

No I don't think it will prevent I from happening but people that leave there children alone should have a consequence. First there kids should be with a parent that will keep them safe. Why are you some sort of predator that this law would effect?

Just imagine, I know my parents and many parents back in the day (before the sisification of America) ran into gas stations and such and left us in the car. Can you imagine if everyone over 60 now was arrested and jailed for doing this back then? I'd say 75%+ of the baby boomers would have criminal records.

Okay, so you agree that criminalizing leaving your kid alone isn't gonna prevent it from happening. But you STILL wanna criminalize stupidity because of a "what if" situation in YOUR head.

YOU think they should be punished? Well, when something happens to that kid, then they have to live with it. Living with the consiquence of your own stupidity is punishment enough!

If YOU don't like the way some kid is being raised, YOU can petition the courts to adopt the kid and raise it the way YOU see fit!

Otherwise you should mind your own business!

This isn't the same day that it was 40 years ago. I can say my mother never left me in a car back in the day. I can say I never have left my children/grandchildren in a car and ran in to a store. But if you think it is ok go ahead leave your children in a car and run in to the store.

You want to tell me you think it is ok to leave your children in a car alone while you run in to get something from the store? It wouldn't be the parents that have to live with the consequences of that act. It would be the child that is being raped or murdered. Or the rescue or LE person that has found the remains that has to live with it daily. Do you really think it is ok to leave your child alone in a car? Of course you do you idiot.

And theres goes your best arguement ... you think I want people to leave their kids in the car alone.

Did I post that? NO ... what I said is, that it is stupidity that causes people to leave thier kids unattended. And, I also said making stupidity a crime is also stupid.

Slow down ,,, read, digest, then post. Don't get so worked up!

If you got your way, then our out of control government would eventually go after you for being stupid too.(by stupid, I mean arming a police state with a cause to stop & harrass you!)

Not what you said at all but ok I am done commenting after this. Bottom line is there are people that leave their children unattended and in my book it is a crime. Maybe not in yours but mine yes. I know I am far from stupid. I care about children and their well-being and the crimes against them. They are little and can't defend themselves. So the IDIOT'S that leave them unattended open the door for crimes against them. You say it is ok for parents to do it. They have to live with the consequence. No law should be against it. Whatever you have to say ~you and I and many more people just don't agree on this subject. Our government my be out of control on many things but when it comes to defenseless children their aren't enough laws to protect them.

Again, your writing skills make you hard to understand.

I am guessing that you must be Nancy Pelosi wasting her time on this forum instead of reading the bills that ALEC wrote for you.(google ALEC and the legislative process)

Writing useless laws only hurts the masses, and it will bite you too ... you are just too ignorant to see it.
