Casinos are a disaster for other area businesses. Casinos will give away 55%-75% of their entertainment and leisure amenities to lure gamblers to their machines and tables. What other leisure business could possibly compete with that, except another casino? For every three slot machines the area loses one job a year because the discretionary money going to the gaming conglomerates instead of local area businesses.
