for those looking for employment right now, a quick online search will show the best companies to work for and another good site is SalaryFor.com http://www.salaryfor.com/ which has career advice, job listings and a huge database of real salaries that companies are paying for any position. you can post your own salary or view others for free.

Two items here:

1.) RochesterWorks! is useless, useless, useless!

Based upon my personal experiences and the experiences of others with whom I've spoken.

AND based upon a recently posted article and its responses on this Topix forum.

2.) IF you're REALLY an RN and you can't find a job AND you need RochesterDOESN'TWorks! to help you, there is something drastically wrong!

A degreed / skilled RN should be able to find a GOOD paying job faster than I can sing "I'm A Lumberjack!"

Unfortunately, a "degreed / skilled RN" is in many cases expected to expect a higher rate of pay than newer candidates to most employers, hence they are less likely to get hired in this economy.

I currently work for just-above minimum wage at a "fast food" establishment. I almost wasn't hired because I am "over qualified". Like I told my boss at the interview "Look, I need a job, don't fault me for my resume.". Luckily he listened and I'm making money rather than sponging off the system or my family.

Don't knock it 'til you try it, Dingleberries. It's rough out there.

Did you work full time before your new job? Then you paid INTO the unemployment system, as did your employer. Possibly for YEARS. Therefore, it is NOT sponging off the system to take what you need, keep looking for a job, and volunteer where you can in the meantime. It's a good way to network, shows that you care, and looks great on your resume.

Have you tried trafficing? There isn't a need for any certificates or degrees. There aren't any benefits packages, but the pay is great(so I've heard). Also you wouldn't have to worry about paying for others to buy homes, cars, food or for big businuess' to get your tax dollars.Hee Hee! Look into it. Hey , you never know it just might be the right career path for you. LOL!

Daily Horoscope for December 2

Sagittarius

Your relationship with your partner comes into focus with the Gemini Full Moon; it's good to devote time to your best friend or mate under this fortunate phase. Try to be understanding of the pressure your loved ones may be under, but today is pretty fortunate for the Archer, as Jupiter your life-ruler is favored. Celebrate the love you have in your life, no matter what form it may take.
