He didn't face any morning sun THIS morning, fer sure, but I hear it was pretty foggy around Chili Center, in that direction. People just DO NOT slow down in bad weather. Yesterday how many cars were in that pile-up on 490 behind the Gates-Chili school? They WILL NOT slow down!

And I agree Sandy, 1st I am sorry for the loss of life here. My condolences to the mans family. As a truck driver I see 1st hand all the crazy things people do on the road. You said it right Sandy, People just need to slow down a bit. If you take a defensive driving course you will see that rushing around speeding will only really save you a minute at the most to get to your destination. We need to slow down, pay attention to signs, adjust our speeds to road conditions, and put the cell phones down.

truck=1 car= 0 a grandfather at 35? does this stike normal people as odd? This is what is a huge problem in our very overly PC country. That being said,I thought hands on cell phone use was illegal in NYS? There are lots of scenarios here about the crash.
