No one complains about the waste of taxpayer money going to the oil companies. Maybe with the ability to charge electric cars more people will buy them and we can eventually all breathe cleaner air already!!!

It's not your money either. If you truly escaped ny then you are not paying ny taxes, so what do you care?!

I worked and payed more than my fair share of taxes in NY for 40 yrs and still have family thats stuck there.
Don't worry though after I spend/hide most of my money and the day comes for A nursing home I just might move back to the nanny welfare state permanently$$ Until then it's called tax savings.
But what do you care?

Those of us that still live here and don't feel "stuck" want our taxes paid in this manner, to better our state. Sure they could and should do tax reform, maybe they can start by not allowing people that move away to come back to mooch. Thanks for thinking about that, I'll speak to my NYS representative.

Maybe we'll get lucky, and a couple of them will get electrocuted!!!!!!!!
The only thing I care about is how much is this folly is going to cost the taxpayers.Besides why should taxpayers pay for someone thats buys a $45,000+ car to get free electric? Even if they have to pay a small fee it will still cost a fortune to install these "charging stations".As far as the thugs getting electrocuted I couldn't care less.

Hey dummy the notion that electric cars are good for the environment is a lie. Most of our electricity is produced by fossil fuel. Turning mechanical energy into electricity causes and back to mechanical energy causes a loss in energy. Both by the conversions and the transmission.Plus power plants are dirtier in there emissions than cars. You actually release more CO and nitrosamines into the air. Plus the radioactive particles and sulphur released when the power plant is fueled by coal. Those power plants also create huge amounts of land and air pollution on top of it.Plus that lack of efficiency means that if they catch on they will be more expensive to operate along with jacking up your home electric bill.
